Ok! I see the thread where it says bidville is 50% sportscards. This may be true but, ms. stat or someone else please post Ebay numbers, sportscard memorbilia to rest of their auctions. I am willing to make a bet it is 2-1 there also.

I just did a check of the eBay sports categories and there are a little over 500,000 auctions currently running. That is less than 10% of the approx 5.5 million auction total.
The sellers on Ebay can not take a "I'll wait for the collector that needs this item" approach to listing his item but instead must list the items at rock bottom prices or he gets eaten alive in listing and re-listing fees. Those rock bottom prices attract a lot of buyers.
The advantage of using Bv over eBay is on low priced sportscard items. The fee structure makes low priced items on eBay a tough place to make a profit. There are no fees at Bv so the sellers can list very inexpensive cards and wait for months or even years for the collector that needs that item. That is hardly possible at eBay but it is now somewhat possible at eBay's other site, 1/2.com, which is soon to be combined into the main eBay site.
