Thank you for posting our listing numbers. One must keep in mind that eHammer is an antiques focused site. Our volume is real and not manipulated by 1000s of items with little or no value. Our goal, long term, is to crated the feel of a live, conventional, antiques auction experience. The balance of listings to sell-through is what is important to us. We apprecfiate all input.

Isn't it better to have real numbers with real action, then 1000's of items with no bids? I buy and sell regularly on eHammer and always am pleased with the results.

Hello ehammer,
I have a question? Why do you have a listing fee and a FVF? On some sites I have eather one or the other.
I dont have a lot of cheep items. But! I don't think I could survive long with both.

Hi eHammer!
I sell a lot of price guides and reference books about antiques & collectibles. These books are typically published within the past 5 years, but of interest to antique collectors.

Hi i have sold these guides on ehammer, i believe many of the sellers & bidders are antique dealers that sounds perfect!
As far as fees go, many free list days at ehammer for new people to try it out.the fees are justified by the amount of hits & bids.you will be surprised this is the hottest antiques site on the net..i think because of the high quality items & bidders & because it's fine for you to link to your WEBSITE..good business..Many people are moving there..my hits there are double & triple than i am getting at ebay & yahoo
I listed 20 items a 4 am,,,by 6 am i had 2 WITH BIDS!!IN JULY?? this is the second time this has happened this month wow..what will we do there this Christmas season.?...
I think many sellers left the big sites, tried the free ones,& are now looking toward the holidays & good sales & have decided you get what you pay for..gee Granny & Mom were right What good is no listing fee & no fvf if you get No hits,No bidders & No Sales i have tried those sites & wasted my time since January..remember our time is worth something..we work hard..i have changed one thing..if something is not worth at least 9.99 i don't list it..for the amount of work we do i think that is fair!
ps Dimview thanks for all the time you put in on these site figures..i enjoy them & appreciate your work..

Yes, eHammer welcomes price guides and reference books on antiques and collectibles.Frankly, we need this type of listing badly!,
As far as fees go you have to look beyond the obvious. First, ehammer has a free relist for any unsold auction, a free reserve option and a free link to your website. Also, our new subscription allows you to list unlimited auctions for a low flat monthly fee. The first subscription tier is $18 per month and eliminated all listing fees. The second tier is $95 per month and allows unlimited auctions with no listing fees or commissions.

Their free day is today..good luck,be sure & use the free hit counter to guage how your doing..i was surprised how many hits i am getting..not just during this free day,,in the last weeks too..they did some ads i understand..good luck..hope this is good for us all..we sure have all had it hard on auctions this year..i have four with bids out of 28 listings..for me that is great.good prices here much better than when i tried to little freebie sites..get what ya pay for i guess..i am going to try this new 18.00 a month deal with no list fees..that would be good for me for Christmas season too.good luck..we all need a break..
Just out of curiosity, how many of those items are listed by one seller and/or how many have a reserve?
The last time I was over there, every item I was interested in had a reserve and was by the same seller which appeared to be the site owner.(not that the site owner listing is necessarily a bad thing)

Hi I believe EHAMMER is an antique mall & they do "consignments" on ehammer for their antique dealers, & i think a lot of their dealers list there too.I have noticed i am getting bids on items that have the reserves..actually like the bidders there enjoy bidding that way, like the old days of ebay..I ususally never use reserves but i really noticed this,& they are free today..so...seems each site has it's own feel, they sure have some lovely stuff. My winners in the past not only paid quickly they have all become friends, super people over there..
I hope anyone that is trying this clicks on the free counter on listing form,,if you forget you can hit modify...to get an idea of hits..mine are very high..& have been lately..good luck...
