I have looked the site over. They promise no fees no chargeing for image hosting ect "Famous last words". They also say they have big plan's (I checked out their board). Does anyone know much about them? I have been looking around for a good site to put a few auctions. Thanks for any replys.

Hi telwil,

There are several threads in the archives if you do a site search.

Last night I started working on an update to the auction sites page on my website. I decided to take a better look at each site and see if I could find out a little more about them. I was absolutely amazed when I started looking further just what some of these sites are all about. It looks to me like there are bunches of possibly good choices out there for listing auctions.

I personally haven't tried LowestBid. I think as I'm seriously looking at sites for listing I'm going to stick to the ones that already charge a FVF or say they will in the near future. I figure if they have some money already coming in or will very shortly their long-term should hopefully be a little better than a completely free site.

Toollady, Thanks for the suggestion I will do that.

Wallypog, Keep me updated on what you find out I would be very interested.

I wanted information from people that list there today I hoped maby some watched the AW board like me and could say what sell's have been like in the last week or two and the overall opinion they have of Lowestbid.

Hey all!

About LowestBids, it has been very slow lately and work is underway on bugs that popped up when they switched servers. I have just deleted all my auctions and will be starting over...many of my auctions were outdated and one of the "bugs" included losing my pics on most of my auctions. But things like this are apt to happen in any business. And I really should update my items to include a template that matches my website. So, for me, it wasn't all that bad.

Big ad campaign is about to start.
LowestBids will be offering FREE ISP service with joiners automatically being signed up with LB. Traffic should be booming pretty soon.

In the past, I have had much success at LB and the deadbeats are being taken care of.

LB will be making money from the sales of banner ads thru the auction and also thru sales to other businesses. Also revenue will be generated by many other venues. So, LowestBids should NEVER have to charge a listing fee or FVF.

Just my opinions here!

Wendy

ps.....I've been busy re-building my site...hackers destroyed the sites at the server we were at(HttpCity) and we've switched to a new one.

Talk about work! Thankfully I had a template...but, I've found lots of little things that need fixing. Almost re-built now! Whew!
