The wonderful sellers of ePier have banded together to help raise money for the American Brittany Rescue organization. This organization's purpose is to take in stray, abandoned, surrendered and/or impounded purebred Brittanys, provide them with foster care, health and temperament screening, offer an opportunity for rehabilitation if necessary, assure their health and place them in new homes. So far these gracious sellers have listed 75 items up for auction, with proceeds being donated to ABR.
One ePier seller has taken this organization's mission statement to heart and recently rescued a beautiful Britt named Ginger through this organization. Ginger has found a loving home and can now "smile" again as only a Britt can, loved by Karin and her wonderful beau. Karin, you have a heart of gold!
Please feel free to email me at [email protected] if you would like more information on the ABR auctions on ePier or how you can make a tax-deductible donation to ABR.

This is a fantastic response from the ePier community. We plan on more Charity Auctions in the future....sure feels good to support a needy cause.

A big thank you to all that have put together this charity auction. Those dogs are beautiful. I would love to adopt one.
Ginger is one lucky dog! I really liked the notepaper with her picture on it. Thanks for posting about this charity.

They are a large Spaniel breed, a hunting dog. I didn't realize though that there were so many unwanted that they required their own rescue organization.

Lots of animals have rescue organizations for the unwanted, uncared for and misplaced animals. When I was looking for a poodle, I ran across an organization for abandoned and abused poodles. The Brittanys are a beautiful dog. I am thinking of opening up our home for foster care. (just thinking here now!)

Thanks magik.
I admire what you folks are doing. My wife and I did some research awhile ago on getting a "Frasier Dog" (Jack Russell). We were amazed at the number of these dogs that are available for free adoption. Apparently they are an extremely energetic dog and owners were finding out that they could not keep up with them. I think many thought they could train their dog to be just like Frasier's without realizing how difficult that would be, and how dedicated they would have to be.
We rescued a couple of adorable cats (brother and sister) about 5 years ago. We are planning on adding a dog to the family as soon as we retire (soon come!).
Good luck to all the kind folks who are supporting this cause

The number of auctions being held on ePier to benefit ABR is now 84 and counting. Is that awesome or what?! ePier has a great bunch of kind, caring sellers!
