i have visited this site several times recently. there was a review on ubid which i thought was informitive. but it did have a slant toward and in favor of the site. the replies were mostly negative, to which i would like to add.
many of you who post are sellers, i was a buyer and do not know what contract sellers get but if you do not get a cut of the s&h from ubid then someone else is pocketing a lot of money.
i'll not go into great detail. here are two examples.
1. one article i bought cost $181 and s&h was $80. total $261. same article thru the dealer was $141 (not bad) and the s&h was $17 (not even close).
2. the other example is $63 for the product and $232 for s&h. cheaper shipping was available at $108. $124 difference.
is this common? is it acceptable? i have used other sites and did not get charged such a s&h.
these are the facts. i have the hard copy to back it up.

I buy a lot of products from uBid and have had to call them by phone more than once to get the shipping reduced. I would certainly try in your case, might be worth the call. I have just recently acquired their uBid credit card and am now getting a 10% discount on all shipping.
