Sorry to bother you all but I could sure use some help.
I have several auctions going but only one has a bid on it.
Some of the auctions have been hit up to 30 times but still no bid.
Can anyone give me any idea's on how to list to sell.
btw, I have good looking pictures. I have a full description. A starting bid of 1.00 to 5.00 and no reserve.
I have listings on ebay and yahoo.

don't feel bad. I found a seller on bidbay who had 2411 items listed, 49 pages, and only had 6 bids! Five were from an unknown with 0 feedback and the last one was for a quarter. Consider yourself lucky.

This is a very slow time of year for bids. It'll probably pick up sometime after Christmas because people receive Christmas money. Then it'll slow again until sometime in the spring, then slow in the summer because of vacations, then pick up for back to school. The best time for me is the week or two before Christmas. I sell most of my things then. The rest of the year is hit and miss, but then again, like the other poster said, it depends on what you're selling. Sometimes certain categories sell well all year.
I'm sure if you keep plugging away and keep up the good descriptions and good photos, your bidders will come.

Wow, you're all being so helpful.
I will tell you that most of my items are Children's Clothes.
Mostly Newborn up to size 7
So I can understand why it would go slower at times.
I don't expect to get rich but would like it to be a wee bit steady.
So weeks, I can clear over 100.00 and some nothing.
I know it doesn't sound like much but its fun and it gives me extra money.
Anyway, could you all give me some links to follow to see your auctions. PErhaps I am not including everything I should be or perhaps my format is not a good one.

Please don't be discouraged. I put several
really nice things on (always with a reserve)
and it took 3 days to get one bid. I just
remember their are millions of people buying
or selling more millions of "stuff". If you
offer good stuff at a decent price and hang
in there, you WILL survive.

Hi,
I had a pretty good Christmas Season on ebay, and sold some things on yahoo! Not as good as the month of August but still a good one. Happy New Year Barbie and everyone

Thank youall for your wise words.
Now, I need you to look at one of my auctions and tell me whats missing, what's wrong, or anything that might help me to sell better.
This item has been viewed 56 times so far this time.
I had it listed before with 65 views and no bids.

Hi Jenikah!
First let me say that you have lovely items so I would expect them to sell quite well.
I only sell girls dresses 2-3 times a year because they're special occasion items (christening gowns, first communion, wedding related).
Some suggestions (this is just what I do):
1) Pick a template and stick with it (for similar items).
2) Make 1st paragraph a brief description: Beautiful girl's red velvet dress, size 8! Perfect for blah, blah, blah. If you can do a 'list' put info like size, measurements, condition together in the second paragraph.
3) Compact shipping and payment info into a single paragraph or two (list or bulleted form is easy to read). I do a paragraph for US Terms & Conditions and a paragraph for International Terms and Conditions.
4) Definately keep your pics up top or on one side (I use the template with left side pic so can see item and size, etc at same time).. I notice you have/had some listed with a small pic at the bottom .. was starting to wonder if you had a pic at all.
5) On higher end dresses, I would put a pic of front and a pic of back.
6) If you combine shipping, make that clear and easy to see .. a sentence alone italicized or bolded? I would put this right under the size/measurement/condition paragarph 2.
I'm making these suggestions for two reasons.
1) In looking at your auctions, I found myself jumping all over the place looking for what I wanted to know.
2) When I buy kids clothes I like to buy more than one item at a time to save on shipping.
If all auctions are set up the same, once I find your terms on one auction, I can just look quickly at the other auctions and check size, condition, etc.
Just some thoughts .. and of course, only my opinion. You should do very well with the nice items you have. Good luck!
I'll be listing some dresses soon .. hope bidding is up!
I have a memory like a steel trap .. unfortunately it's rusted shut!
