I have not had a bad check online as of yet. Through my retail store I deal with a company that gives me the face value of my check within 2 weeks and they collect it themselves, making money off the person who wrote the check. I am guessing through past customers relations most of bad checks written are not done on purpose. My suggestions would be to call the person bank and see if funds are available, number can usually be obtain through your bank by the routing number on the check. If funds are available redeposit the check. If funds are not available a simple curtosy email to the buyer stating said check was returned to you and you need him to remit the amount plus any charges to you by money order or cashier check. If buyer does not send payment with a week or make word to you. I can suggest you to take itto your local county Sheriff or modestrate they usually have a bad-check unit. Just give the buyer benefit of doubt, banks do and have made mistakes. Hope this helps
