I sent Dutchbid a question Thurs and I still have no reply from customer service. Ihave emailed again.Maybe someone here can help. Remember them saying our Gold's IDs would be transfered? I tried to bid and my ID(Golds) wasn't valid.I don't want to register again and have problems later if they are transfering IDs. What has everyone else done? Thanks!

Hi Labelle .. I would suggest you register now as you will have to register at some point anyway as far as I know. Then when they have complete access to all the Golds files .. there is a hold-up on Golds end .. they will transfer your feedback.

I'm really surprised you didn't get a reply from DutchBid .. they are usually REALLY fast! Once you register, you can use 'LIVE SUPPORT' .. once you click the button, be ready to type in your question cause someone will say hello pretty darn quick! Caught me off guard! LOL

Oh, and if you want to use the chat boards, you have to register separately there .. can be the same name or different. I use the same name!

I like DB a lot .. only 5 items up at the moment (waiting for the beta bulk loader)! I have two bids already though!

Thanks tuition44years

I had bought and sold at Gold's and when Dutchbid first bought them I thought they were just going to transfer our user info and ratings. So I was confused not to be able to bid.

Well, I registered!! I liked the free vacation I got too! When auctions die come June- maybe I can take a break!

I am out trying different sites as a substitute for Yahoo.I have been buying mainly. Hey - someone has to support the sellers that are out there posting away! I will try some experimental posts soon.

Hello labelle,

We had received your email on the 18th and replied to it within thirty minutes. Today we received your email again and replied with the same response as the first. Perhaps you are not getting your emails, because that is two that we have already sent. I will give you a call on Monday and answer all of your questions!

Our live support has been scarce for the last couple of days mainly because of the upgrades that we have them busy on. Live support will resume regularly on Monday.

Thanks,
Eric

Hi labelle

This is no surprise. They have been very elusive about the whole golds conversion. Any information given has been sugar coated and not very direct. The big change over was supposed to happen weeks ago. If dutchbid had kept folks informed about any delays, or what may be causing them, you would not be wondering why your golds id has not transfered. I cant help but notice that the answer you received from dutchbid to your original post, seems to be missing any answer as to why your golds user id has not transfered.

Tuition44years

" there is a hold-up on Golds end" How do you know this? Has dutchbid stated that the delays are golds fault? If so, why does dutchbid fail to be truthful about it here at AW.

"Our live support has been scarce for the last couple of days mainly because of the upgrades that we have them busy on. Live support will resume regularly on Monday."

Are we to assume that support at dutchbid consists of their tech staff and programmers? Imagine if ebay support had to close every time they had to do an upgrade. It would sure be nice for a truthful answer about what is going on with this dutchbid, golds situation.

Browse .. yes I do know for a fact there is a hold up on Gold's end. This isn't the only auction chat forum in town and, it definately isn't the main one used by Gold/Dutchbidders.

That info has been posted in several other places and is common knowledge to anyone who follows DB news closely!

Labelle asked a question and got an answer .. from me and from Eric. Have you ever seen anyone from ebay respond to someone's concern on these boards. Have you seen them respond when hundreds complain about a serious problem?

It is well-known that DB is not just upgrading but is integrating two sites. The site has been amazingly stable throughout the whole process.

browse4stuff,

You are complaining about Dutchbid's live support not being accesable for two days and even compairing it to ebay. Well, does ebay even offer LIVE SUPPORT? I don't think so. If there is live support at dutchbid even just on the weekdays, then their support is already better than that of yahoo and ebay combined. Let's see, "Dear Member, sorry for your trouble" or "Can I help you NOW?"

Not saying that db is better than ebay, just saying that it sure sounds like there customer support is.
