Okay, what's the catch about this site?
[quote]We charge absolutely NO LISTING FEES and NO COMMISSION FEES! All buyers and sellers can utilize all of our basic services at no charge. Sellers may choose to enhance the visibility of their listings by paying for optional services, such as having them appear in bold-faced print when returned from our search engine, or paying for higher search engine placement. These enhancements are completely optional, and all fees for these enhancements are detailed on our item listing page.[quote]
Bold Face = $1.00
HomePage Featured = $10.00
Preferred Search Engine Placement = $1.00+
Numbers posted above include auctions and fixed price classified ads.
LOTS and LOTS of banners and cookies throughout the site.
Additionally, when clicking on a category, you will see links to other websites to make purchases away from the site.

From the "instructions" link:
At Auctionaddict.com we have two types of listings: Auctions and Fixed-Price (classified ads) items. Auction items are bid progressively higher upon, and are sold to the highest bidder(s) when the listing closes. Fixed price listings are just like traditional classified advertisements. Buyers do not "bid" on fixed-price items, they order them directly from the seller at the price he/she specified. When a buyer orders an item from a fixed price listing page, both buyer and seller are immediately notified via-email. http://auctionaddict.com/cgi-bin/rules.cgi
Seems odd. Since the fixed-price listings are comparable to the "buy now" option at other auctionsites, I think it would have been better to run them as auctions.
Noticed the banners. Checked hard drive and located two cookies, nothing out of the ordinary that I can see.

Hi dimview,
I have cookie pal and I kept getting a pop up box to accept or reject. Typical ad cookies were appearing. Don't recall off hand which, but I'll be more alert if I decide to go back and nose around some more.

Oops, I meant pop-ups, not banners. And yes, a few did pop-up but they were no more frequent than another free auctionsite.
