I received an e-mail this morning about a new site (?) - at least I've never heard of it - it is Auction.com - can anyone tell me about it? Has anyone ever heard of it? Is it a new auction site or what? Thanks in advance for the help?

Auction.com looks like another ebay clone. Considering the name "auction.com" has been up on the block for several years for sale by a domain name holder company, they must have spent some bucks buying the name.
Last time I checked, they wanted 6 figures starting price for auction.com name. Funny, it was just a few months ago, but the site seems to be running.

They are just another crony. I received about 4 e-mails from them today all saying the same thing. They are must likely just going to various auction sites and spaming all of the sellers.
They have not taste, and I will NOT be a part of a site with no morals or ethics!

I received an email from them too about 2 days ago. I am kind of leary of any site that sends out spam email to advertise a site.
