Here is the rule as posted by the Prez. Posted 8/28/2001 5:14:14 PM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since no other auction site allows discussions of competing sites, Bidville has decided to remove the "Other Online Auctions" forum. Please refrain from discussing other sites.
------------------------------------
and yet the following has been allowed to stay even after the Prez came and went troll hunting today. Amazing how some members were admonished or suspended for talking about Yahoo warehouse which is not even auctions a few weeks back.

Please provide proof that anyone was suspended from Bidville for discussing Yahoo Warehouse. I have seen reference to one individual at AW concerning discussion of Yahoo Warehouse, but it is my understanding and recollection that this suspension was due to other factors and actions.

The proof is in the pudding. The thread listed is still standing in violation of the rules. The Prez has been notified and does nothing about it.

What does any of this really matter?
Some BV members & prez are going to do and say what they want no matter what. You might feel a lot better if you just wash your hands of the place. LAVA works real good gets all the dirt out. LOL

Reality1 you are probably right. But I wonder if you still have posting privs there, what they would say if you asked in the thread if speaking on the subject was not a violation of the rules. I wonder what the cheerleaders would say.

As of this moment I,m still verified, but as far as posting anything I see no need. Nothing constructive will come of it. Besides I'm not one of the most loved people over there to begin with.
You see under my original user name I would start threads like "bidville needs a moderator" and the time I posted the part of the TOS stating no self promotions allowed. That was just before the selfless plugs forums was created. I got flamed on that one so bad that I did the same thing buzz did, I emailed Ed and told him to delete my user name and everthing I ever posted. That user is still listed as non-active and still has list cash in the account for bringing new members in.
So the bottom line is those people don't want outside opinions and I'm not going to offer any. I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY DO it's not my concern.

Many posts are deleted at BV without notice so no proof is obtainable. Hillbilly often complains of deleted posts for instance. Double standards abound everywhere in society and BV is no exception. Remember, BV is more of a kingdom that a democracy because Mr. Orlando owns it.

Thinking back to my school days I recall that the teachers we had the least respect for were those that played favorites with their students and did it in front of the whole class. The originator of the Free Yahoo Canada Listings thread was also the co-ordinator of a BV sale or two so she is granted flexibility in what she can post on the mesage center?
Not a good practice in my eyes but BV is a kingdom.

Kingdom? Yes, but the "PREZ" is a puppet, sitting on a paper mache throne and the "gang" has a firm grip on his strings.

Hey it is getting better. There are now two threads about Yahoo auctions up and running.

Bidsbids, Suzi doesn't get any special priveleges on BidVille, no more than I do (which is none) since organizing the $1-sale last summer.

I know Suzi better than I know anyone else on BidVille and she's done a lot of hard work trying to help BidVille to become a viable auction site. I can tell you from experience those events take hours of a seller's personal time to organize and there isn't much glory in organizing one (that's not, however, the reason I had to bow out from organizing any more of them).

Wow. JB posted questioning why the threads were allowed to continue. Amazing. ProzacPrez has done nothing. Even funnier some of the Bidvillians are arguing with the policies of ProzacPrez. I wonder if they will be suspended.

They probally dont care since many will go back to Yahoo. Moderation at any site is bad news in my opinion.

I believe what RB has stated many times in the past. BV is only a hobby for Mr. Orlando. I feel that the site administer Bryan really runs the show there or at least he carries out Ed's wishes. Ed may tinker with the site on occassion but he really has lost interest in his site. That's just the way I see things there at BV.

Wally, I see that you are correct about Suzie not being given preferential treatment at BV as a few other Yahoo's new fees threads have popped up today by various BV members. It is strange that BV allows such discussions on it's chat boards. I use to think Ed Orlando was very liberal with posting policies on his site but I'm not sure why he allows this posts as they have to be spreading the harmful Yahoo new listinf/fvf news on his own turf.
The man can be an enigma at times.

I think Ballz had it right. When the Prez deleted his post, he called him idiot.
I am still waiting for the Bidville cheerleaders to come here and defend this. They have been pretty quiet on this subject because they know there is no way to defend it.
