I see no problem with the deletion of a post that was posted only to bash a single individual. The post contributed nothing to the intelligent discussion of auction activities.
Also, am I getting close to the "Truth" when I speculate that the first person to notice this was the author?

Kodi I will address your questions. Firstly I never said (or thought) that the post was appropriate here. Actually I was surprised to see it gone because so much here has been left up that would have been taken down in the past.

As far as me having a problem with Ed the Idiot and not Bidville members, look at my own words. I said I would not start arguments with Bidville members. Why? Because I dont have a problem with them. And also because I have better things to do. You can check my record at any public message board and will find no case where I have said a bad word about any member of Bidville since my problem happened with Ed the Idiot. The poster above seems to have a problem with slandering people without provocation. I can respond in one of two ways. Lower myself to his level and shoot back or put him on blacklist and ignore him. I have chosen to do the second. For the good of myself and the AW community and frankly to save Bidville members from having one of their own look like a fool.<br />

see this ignore thing works great. I dont know what the poster above wrote so I will smile and assume he offered an apology for attempting to instigate a conflict. Or if his post was an attempt to continue a confrontation, he is in effect talking to himself. Message boards all over would be much happier places if people did not feed those wanting to cause conflicts. One reason I only have 5 ejections in 9 years of umpiring is because I have learned to look through the type who enjoys instigation like they were a piece of glass.

Oh a thread that really got out of hand bashing Dreamgirl and her auctions. Honestly the thread had no business here (or anywhere else). Of course since I apparently wrote the thread, I shall now go sit in a corner Hopefully "ucant" has been suspended. He/she really contributed nothing and you didnt miss much in the deleted thread or any of the others they started.

Now RB what seems to be your problem? You dont like Ed the Idiot any more than I do. I know you well enough from here to know you have enough common sense and class not you lower yourself to the above posters level. His record speaks for itself. Besides, I would never plonk a Canadian its my second home.

Lol so lets see. Me, with ZERO history of bashing members of Bidville suddenly decide to create an ID with the express purposes of slamming dreamgirl who has never given me a reason to do so. You know if the slander was not so stupid I would be insulted. Perhaps some of the Ed the Idiot syndrome is catching. However, I would challenge anyone who wants to continue this discussion to call me at my card shop at 248-888-6949. I dont hide. If someone wants to communicate with me I am fully open to it. I dont need a different ID to hide behind when I dont like something.

I do hope that everyone will drop this subject and get away from accussations and namecalling. I appreciate the support you have given for the removal of that very unforunate and uncalled for thread by ucanthandle..... He is an obviously disturbed individual that needs our prayers and positive thoughts if he is ever to reach Higher Ground.
Mr. Ballsandstrikes made an unfornuate decision to lash out at censorship in regards to this particular thread. I have spoken with him and hold no quarrel with him. His intent was with censorship and not with me.
While I'm not a supporter of censorship myself, I do support it when it comes from nothing but HATE and ignorance and serves no purpose other than to spread HATE. Those types of threads are dangerous to the whole idea of discussion.

Lol Kodi its ok Though I will deny anything Hillbilly said nice about me! after all I have an image to protect. After email conversations which I appreciated greatly, I think we can chalk this up to a big misunderstanding. It was also my fault for not being a bit more clear in my original post that I was taking a sarcastic jab at AW. I am glad this got settled with no lasting hard feelings. By the silence of truth/smokes, it looks like it is no longer with us which we should all celebrate.

I have been sitting on the gaurdrail with my usual 6 pack of Frosty Canadian beer. Balls & I go back a long way. I will be the first to say that I don't always, and never have agreed with everything Balls has ever said. But!!! You won't find a more generous or warm hearted individual out there. I hate it that he and the PREZ had their dispute, or disagreement. But life goes foward. Balls is an Excellent businessman. Just thought I would tell you straight up Balls. You aren't missing a thing at Bidville. Sales is sucking big time. Hi Kodi!!! One of my Bidville favorites also. Hillbilly

Hey Hillbilly. Sorry biz is slow. My store has had a rough couple of weeks as well. Tell you what though, the day someone else owns Bidville I will bring 500 listing there. I never have nor would I have complained about how slow things were there. I enjoyed most of the people I dealt with there enough that I would have stuck it out. So I sit and wait for word of the changing of the guard there. It seems many share the opinion that the day may soon be coming.

Hi Kodi. I liked your wedding picture you posted. Looks a little like a youthful Laura Bush ( I'm not sure if that would be construed as a compliment, but I did say I like the photo ). Are you of Russian descent? I know Alaska is full of Russian nationality people.

Well that's an interesting question bidsbids.
The Russians took possession of Alaska and it's people a long time ago. They converted the natives there, including the Aleuts on Kodiak Island, to Christianity. Therefore the native tribes of Alaska are pretty much all Russian Orthodox.
So yes, I am what we call 'Russian Aleut'.One of my great grandfathers immigrated from Estonia to Afognak Island. The other great grandfather immigrated to Spruce Island from Trondheim Norway. These islands are all part of the Kodiak Island Archipelego. Both of them "jumped ship" as it were because they fell in love with my great grandmothers. Both of my great grandmothers died when the spanish flu hit the village of Afognak. Both of my great grandfathers were lost at sea.

I am hoping to get a chance to visit Alaska this summer if just briefly. I am leaving Michigan for a 2 week driving trip into Canada. I will be heading west and while I want to be sure to hit Baniff and a few other spots, I would love to spend a day or two touring Alaska if time permits

Thanks for the family history Kodi. I once worked with a man that had a Russian surname but had a dark complexion. He was from Northern California and said his mother was Hispanic and his father was Russian. He was actually from the Fort Ross area which was near the deepest penetration of Russian settlements into Northern California.
My only associations with Alaska were a flirtation of the idea of building the Alaskan Pipeline when the job was offered a long time ago and a relative from the distant past that had set off in the Alaskan Gold Rush and was never heard from again.
My grandfather lost several children to the Spanish Influenza Outbreak and in a spate of anger poured gasoline on the family home and burned it to the ground. ( sounds like a scene out of the movie "Sometimes a Great Notion" )
Anyway, thanks again for the ancestorial breakdown. History is always a fascinating subject.

That Fort Ross area was home to alot of Aleuts taken as slaves from Kodiak as well as the Aleutian chain, probably still a few down there too. Interesting you met an Indian (which is what the Mexicans really are in Cali) from the Fort Ross area. Such a small world once you get to talking isn't it?

We have been to Alaska twice....Anchorage twice, Valdez, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, and others on one of our cruises, then back and spent a week touring by car......Of all the places we saw, I think Skagway and Juneau were our favorites. Vancouver Canada was beautiful also.....
