Just out of curiosity, but when one lists on a site, whether it be Yahoo! or eBay or whatever, doesn't the listing become property of the site? With that said, isn't what BidVille doing illegal by taking a listing that is owned by another auction site and making it their own?

If you read the TOS thses auctions sites specifically state they they do not own the copyright of any listings.
That is how they claim indemnity from involving themselves in disputes between sellers and bidders.
They state all over the place they arent responsible for anything listed on the site.

It looks like they can import ratings from more than Yadeda and Egreed. One seller had ratings imported from a site called up4sale so I checked out the help area and it said something about sending them your user name and password and they would do the work.

Do the auctions have to be open ones? Do you know if I can wait until my free listings run out then have them transferred over?

Cashout - I asked Bidville the same question, and yes they can move your closed listings, however, you need to give them your password for them to get in there and move them from Yahoo.
I would recommend that you check the categories your items are in at Bidville after they are moved, my audio books ended up in regular book categories and I have to manually change that, but I 'm not complaining too much, I didn't have to start from scratch!

They don't import feedback ratings.
That is an independant company called "feedbacksite" I believe.
All it is is a partnership linking thingy
You can see someones imported feedback then follow the links to set that system up for your auctions.
Its quite easy.
It doesn't automatically update new feedback. Say you imports your feedback and a week later you got 10 new positives on ebay for example. You just log back into the feedback site and update. You wont need to update it again at bidville since bidville just has an inclusion link to that service.
