Guarantee at least 25% sell-through, advertise in major collectible magazines, Super Bowl, and major market TV/radio, and then I might consider it.
On a serious note, the answer is no. Particularly if I know that the owner cannot spell.

There are already other sites that offer the same, but are already somewhat established like Bidville, and bidbay. You don't have any marketing advantage to draw people to the site, and you'd be fighting for scraps.
You could buy the site and rework it into a niche, and make it into a success, but it'll never be another ebay if that's what you're hoping for.
