A shopping mall full of nothing but niche sites would be very nice. If feedback ratings and shopping carts and possibly promotional offers could be used interchangably in all the different mall niche sites that would be a big boost and make for greater ease-of-use of these sites. Many niche sites united together could pool their limited advertizing funds together for a much more effective use.

Hi Threeoldladies (gee, that sounds almost disrespectful! ) I hope it's all right with you that I added a link to your website in my niche auction directory. I've been intending to e-mail you but have had other irons in the fire so haven't yet.
You might also check that niche page for sites which may have interest in your web ring.

As for the mall format, most sites use one of two programs. Silanta (Auction share) and beyond-solutions. In order for the programs to join data bases they would have to be hosted on the same server and even then the Auction share will not join with beyond-solutions.
The new hub will have links to both programs for people to pick from if they wish to launch their own site and join the community. As far as the hub, it's going to be a free site.
We are still working on some legal and design issues.
We do plan on going inside a few dog houses and kick some chit around. :^)
Your right one niche site is nothing more than a bee stinging an elephant but 20 or 30 niche sites united will pack a much bigger punch.
