Anyone seen that movie. The car chase one. This almost abandoned forum reminds me of that movie a lot. I want the role of Super Soul played by the late Cleavon Little. Anti-establishment ( I still cuss the moderators ) yet helpful to the occassional poster that stumbles in here ( ok, ok usually helpful ).
"Kowaski", "Kowaski, can you hear me?"

If you never saw the film you can merely write it off as more bidsbids drivel, and please don't let the door hit you in the booty on the way out.

I'm just trying not to run into the dozer blade, at the end. Heck, I haven't kicked in the second bottle of nitro yet!!!! You might remember me, I was the hippy gal riding the bicycle!

Super Soul on Radio Station KOW ( as in KOWalski ) reporting on the latest Dim/Cuff war on the Moo. I think it's a little unfair for Dim to blame Clueless Cuff for Dim's latest barage of spam and Denial of Service. There is some serious irony as it is Dim that has constantly denied being the doer of Cuff's email woes several months ago. ( Justy so, a Cuff has made more enemies that than Osama and the list of potential culprits is very long ) Now it may be Cuff that is being unjustly accused of email harassment. Dim too, has amassed a
sizeable list of enemies and though it could be Cuff or someone doing Cuff's bidding, there is no proof of that.
The moral of the story is when you are involved in online auctions, either buying or selling, it is always best to use a Hotmail or similar email account to avoid this types of situations. ( I'm sure Buzz will chime in and verify that sentiment )
Now back to the topic .... "Oh Kowaski, you're out there in that bad Challenger R/T with the blown 440 Magnum engine ... you've got to be careful and watch out for the man"
Super Soul signing out for now .....

Thanks Bids, after I posted I went and Looked up a Review. It actually sounded Really Coool, Can't wait to see it. Though was pretty sad to get the news (way belated) on Cleavon, "Blazing Saddles" has ALWAYS been a Favorite.

It's a great movie. Lots symbolism and crud.
Kowalski ................

I really like Cleavon in Blazing Saddles. I recently read that Mel Brooks was all set to have Richard Pryor play the Sheriff but they wanted someone that was better known and that was Cleavon. Pryor would have made a good sheriff but I think Cleavon was better.

Barry Newman is still around in movies. His filmogrphy at the InterNet Movie Database has all of his old TV shows.

I bought a new Dodge Challenger in 1974, the last year they had the car in that style.
I just bought a 1973 Dodge Satellite Sebring on eBay Motors so my kid and I can restore it to it's former grandeur.

Sounds like the car/engine that Tim Allen of 'Tool Time' fame would have had as a young man.

In 1967, I bought a brand new Beaumont ... first "new" car I ever owned. It was factory ordered because the only option I wanted was the HP Corvette 327 cid engine. I think it produced around 360 HP. The engine came wth a tach, but the rest of the car was standard right down to the column shifter and standard rubber.

Took me about a week to burn the rubber off ...

I was also able to embarass my brother who bought a '69 Boss Mustang 427 cid.

About 1/2 through 1969, I decided to go back to school. Sold the Beaumont and got a Mini Cooper 'S'.

Today, I would love to have either one of those cars. But, I'm old now so I drive a Jeep

My math may be off a little about you Buzz. After a year's worth of reading your various posts I had you born in about 1952. That would have made you only 15 when you bought the Beaumont? What is a Beaumont anyway? Chevy?

1952 was the year my younger sister was born!

The Beaumont was the Pontiac equivalent of the Chevy Malibu, but a little nicer trim ... it cost me $2638.00 Canadian brand spankin' new!

PS - I had several cars before the Beaumont, including a 49 Ford, a 52 Ford and a 59 Ford Wagon. I had a few after the Mini too, including a 63 Ford Galaxy 500 XL (390 cid), and a few other odds and ends. Plus, I rode various motorcycles for almost 30 years, all over North America, but never as a member of a gang. I just liked the open air and bugs in the mouth!

Finally, you're not using "Dim Math" are you? That woull explain the errors.

I had a 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 with a 390 engine. You could see the fuel gauge visibly drop when you jumped on the gas.
Was the Beaumont a Canadian option? I remember the Bricklin automobile.
In 1971 I worked with a guy that had a very nice red corvette that was only a few years old. He traded it straight across on an older Mini Cooper and EVERYBODY thought he was totaly insane. It was so tiny.

I bought the car in '67, but it was a 1968 model year. Every day for six weeks I would go down to the train yards to see if I could spot it coming in.

It looked similar to this, but it was blue and had the "327" logo on the front fenders

SuperSoul here ..... The bearded invader has left the area and gone to play with his glassware and exclusive 30 day auctions. Life may return to normal at his senior's trailer haven park near Philly.
Stay low Kowalski, there's other big bad men out there just like him out there.

Super Soul here telling CardTrader that the end is near for his reign of terror on the little ville named Bidville. The simple citizenry are calling for your head on a platter. Here's an example of a very recent call by a very major cheerleader "I`ve written to BVCS a couple of times regarding Daredevil`s need to promote ebay on these boards. Has anyone else complained about this arrogant sob?"
Warning Will Robinson ... Danger. Prince Bryan will not let the lynch mob grow too large. Start looking for another auction site while there is still time.
