I have started moving over from Yahoo to Bidville. Used to do OK on Y then everything just came to a screeeechin' halt. Have only sold 2 items all month. I think I killed it. I figured I couldn't do any worse on Bidville....

Ok, I was working on my "about me" page on BV and when I clicked on the link to view it I received an error message. Then I tried going elsewhere and can't get anywhere. I always receive this message:

Error Diagnostic Information
Server busy or unable to fulfill request. The server is unable to fulfill your request due to extremely high traffic or an unexpected internal error. Please attempt your request again (if you are repeatedly unsuccessful you should notify the site administrator). (Location Code: 25)

Whatcha think??? Is it extreme traffic or did I kill it?????

Maybe I should find another hobby????

The BV message boards ( BV Auction board - top one ) has a thread on the problem you described.

Thanks jimtaxi-at the time I posted here I couldn't even get to the BV site! I had closed my browser and opened it back up thinking it was my computer and when I tried to return to the site, all I got was that darn error message.

It's back now. So maybe I just wounded it...

To respond to the title. No, you didn't do it alone. The people that run that crappy place did a good job of it on their own. They should rename it to clickville.

The owner killed the site along time ago. With very little revenue the site performance has been slowly going down hill. They have no customer service, no programmers to add new features, and no future. The only thing the site is good for is listing common cards hoping for a few sales.

Seems some people are only painting the picture the way they want it in this thread. So the other side is right here:

http://www.bidville.com/myads.asp?id=hap%5Fn%5Fstance

Unfortunately for some reason, the site does not have search by description. Maybe that is why some people are totally unable to use a listing tree and find their way past common sports cards. This presents them with a very lopsided picture. I think things are slow all over right now, I don't hear anyone chirping about activity anywhere.

Judge for yourself.

Jimhhow,
Things are slow all over! I have items listed at ebay and they are not getting to views, or multiple bids like they were a few months ago. It is that time of the year, where people have other activities and aren't interested in sitting in front of the monitor all day.

The blairwitch must have her puter on autoresponder

Like a parrot: *I hate BidVille I hate BidVille braaaaawwwkkk*

Sounds like someone else got left out of the group at BV and is bitter, maybe you have a few character flaws dear because damn near everyone there is accepted no problem.

Put that in your crack pipe and smoke it, darlings.

I wondered what took you so long to get here Kodi.

I never stated anywhere that I "hate" bidville. I dont know where you got this from. The site without management is starting to crumble. All one has to do is look at the message boards there and they can figure it out. I have a question for you. If the owner doesnt care about the site then why do you? Here are a few questions asked by members OVER and OVER that remain unanswered.

1. Why doesnt Bidville advertise?

2. Why dont we have discription search?

3. Why doesnt customer service answer?

I can answer them but I like reading your answers.

Very interesting to see the same old detractors attack a site they know nothing about. Many who attack BV were literally thrown out of the membership for being less than respectful and definitely exceeding the minimum human decency boundaries that all of (nice) society expects and deserves.

Any new person who will accept the ranting and raving of the habitual negative trollite, stands an awful good chance of missing out on a nice BV experience, an opportunity to grow with this phenomenal site, the freedom to pursue ones business without undue greed on the part of the owners, and an opportunity to work within a fantastic community which has a very positive outlook on life in general. While disagreements to arise from time to time, they do not change the tone of things forever.

Kodi,
you are absolutely right on re: the part-harpie BW. Limited vocabulary bawk bawk bawk.......LOL. Can't you just see her jumping up and down on her perch? Bidbids needs to change her cage paper.

Have a wonderful day all and please do not pass the opportunity by. One must always take pie when pie is passed.

It's all semantics BW.

How the hell am I supposed to answer those questions anyway?

How the hell can you?

I can answer one question regarding why I "defend" the site.

I like it.

The way you bash BidVille is abnormally intense. You act like they stole your last bobby pin on prom night...wait..your name isn't Carrie, is it?

Did BidVille suspend you?

Did BidVille rip you OFF??

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

I don't really care anyway, but since we are on some twisted quest for truth..thought I'd ask.

(Incidentally, BVCS answers my questions. Thank you.)

The AW Other Auctions makes a good barometer as to how well the Moo and BV boards are doing. They must be doing badly as the people that claim to love those sites are over here in The Village of the Damned.
Pulling up a lawnchair and an iced tea w/ a lemon wedge in it and watching the sparks fly. I wonder where HB is?

sounds like that lemon wedge is more of a twist. That usually happens when trolls get backed into the corner though!

What really amazes me is how customer service at bidville always answers the few followers here, but nobody on the boards at bidville get an answer. I just dont understand this. Kodi you continue to say I bash bidville but in reality I disapprove how the site is being ran. I will answer your questions since you dident mine. No bidville did not suspend me my account is still there. Bidville did not rip me off nor did any sellers there. My problem with the site has been stated over and over. A select few seem to get special privilege on the site, while everyone else is ignored.

Bidsbids you sure are right. It looks like everyone is here lol. I do wish Dimview would return but the chances seem slim.

The lack of a description search is very similar to the lack of major or minor advertising. BV simply can not fix the search engine to allow description searches and can not even afford to hand out inexpensive bumper stickers to their most loyal sellers. No expertise and no money. Cut & dried. Except the reality of the situation or move on. ( just like the owner did )

Damn snow!!! Took me awhile to get here. Geesh!!! I need a swig of hmmm!! I used to drink something called an Iced Tea at the bar. Boy!! Talk about something knocking you on your @$$. White Russian used to do the same thing. I think everyone knows my feelings about Bidville. I did leave for awhile and took some customer's along with me. But!! I had more customer's wanting me to come back. As a site I truly believe Bidville is the most User Friendliest. Basically the only thing that disturbs me is the PREZ'S non involvement with the place. I know Bidviller's doesn't need him there as a baby sitter. But when I first started selling at Bidville I thought we were all going to build the place as a team. I get the impression that he has abandoned the site. Personally!! I don't think he even owns the place anymore. JMHO!!! So!! I have went back to Bidville with a more positive outlook. I don't need the PREZ to reach my goal's at Bidville. I am a sportscard collector & hobby promoter, plus it helps to pay for my hobby. This is the way I look at it. If the place makes it, it makes it. If it goes belly up, I ain't lost nothing. I do also like the Auction Cow really well, although I do not like the fact that they do not have a relist yet. So I will just ride the clock and hope it appears one day. Since I am friends with J.B. I will definately support Top Notch auctions as a buyer, but I hate listing at more than one site. So I know that I will not list at three. Everybody take care.
bidsbids!! go easy on the ice tea because it can make you hyper. Or at least it does me. LOL!!!Hillbilly

JimHow, I'm sorry I was in a hurry when I made that post with the 'except'/'accept' error. It reminds me of my school days when the teacher made a rare error the students would relish the moment. I see some of your true red neck mentality coming out by accusing me of being foreign born and not a true American.
Of course the error is understandable, and easily overlooked, if English is your second language.

All of this from an onery old guy that can't figure out how to post a web link on these message boards.

Bidsbidsm the word was not mispelled, it was a completely different word.

Accuse you of being a foriegner??? What would be so terrible about being a foriegner?

Do you have something against foriegners?

I don't, all I said was that the mistake would be understandable if English wasn't your first language. But it's not like hiting a wrong key, or simply mispelling a word. I posted the definitions for your benfit, no neeed to start badmouthing foriegners.

I think I am going to throw up. Will the losers go into their hole and stay there? We surrendered that site for you loser commons sport card sellers already. Anything else there is a waste of time and even breathing about it is worthless.
