I've almost always found that 'fairly positive reports' tend to be by people that have a reason to promote the site such as they are a seller there or own the site or they are friends of the owner, etc. I take all praise about online auction sites with a big grain of salt.
Now if someone gives a fairly positive report on an over-the-counter pain relief medicine then people are much more inclined to believe them as they have nothing to gain other than owning a few shares in a giant pharmacutical corportation.
