$40/month = $480/yr ( after first free month is gone )
We are targeting the small mom and pop sites and auction users to help them get started growing there business
The little sellers would have to make $480/yr in profits to pay the rent. If the new powermall is super busy that make work but it has to have buying traffic and lots of it.
Good luck with the new site. I think the fixed priced venues and niche auctions have the best prospects for success these days.

We are actually doing some different things with the storefronts as well. We are driving 8,000 visitors a month into each storefront and if they want to have another 8,000 they can join the co-op for $10.00. We have also set it up so that if merchants shop in the mall they receive 1 point for every $10.00 spent same as custmers shopping. The points can be turned in for free advertising or gifts. We are trying everything we can to help the merchants. We are allowing links to their auction sites as well as their websites and they can also place banner advertising in there to make money from that too. All ideas are welcome and we hope to implememnt all ideas that will help the merchants.

Rebates ? How would I do rebates on other peoples items they are selling, new and used ? Since I don't have a big bank roll backing me and I used my work comp settlement to launch this in hopes of helping the smaller sites I can only do so much. Once we get going and get the money coming in I have no problem with do new things that cost money. But at this time the goal is to help as many people as I can with what I have to work with. Now if you have some suggestions to help get the funds going I am more then glad to listen.

Well forget all about it won't work.
Just to many cheap non paying people out there.
come to find out a bit to late for me there are well over 2,000 auction sites out there now and more dooiing it every day so if your doing this from work let the boss know about it.
then one would also have to think is 8,000 hit all I can get unless I pay you more money??? Yes join the coop to get some more going to cost me again forget it man it won't work.

Yes I am doing this from work since it is my company and no this is not some small little no lan site that is going to go away. We have worked very hard to create aliances with large companies to provide services to my users at a large discount. 8,000 visitors is what we drive into the storefront not just to the site. What company out there actually drives traffic into individual storefronts from outside sources ? Your negativity will not get me down. I am determined make this work. Just a little while to wait for the funding. Have a nice day.

Well, I appreciate your enthusiasm and great attitude for positive things. I know that there are a lot of sites out there promising everything and giving nothing but that is why I started this. I used to work for one of them and the name can not be mentioned here. I hated everything that was done and is still being done by them. I am not asking you to believe me as everyone has heard it before so I will let you make your own decisions as to whether you give us a try or not. We just want to be another choice for people to make.

It's the quality of those 8,000 daily visitors that counts. There are services that have members visit sites for redeemable points for instance. Results/Sales is the big important issue that sellers care about. Twenty page hits that resulted in 15 sales is better than 8,000 page hits and only 5 sales.

You know I really don't have time to go back and forth with someone who doesn't appreciate someone trying to build a company that is honest and hard working. If you feel that this is a scam then that it is your option to feel that way. I would appreciate it if you would at least keep an open mind to companies that are really trying to offer a good service and not just some fly by night company that will be gone tomorrow. Yahoo and Ebay had to start somewhere you know. All I want is a fair shake and offer quality and not empty promises.

Hello bidsbids,
I started selling on the auctions a few years ago and then worked at one so I knew the problems that I had as well as listened to what the user said and I have tried to put into my site everything that could help. The being able to link to other auction sites and feedback as well as putting banners in was something everyone has asked for and been told NO. I don't claim to have the answer to everything but I do know that whatever will help to grow the users business and make sales is what we need to make happen.

powermall ... you have to know that I am just screwing around with you
But, a piece of honest and serious advice ... don't try to start a business by asking people to donate money to your cause, especially in a field that is already saturated with operations that are, shall we say, less than honest.
Let's face it ... promises made on the internet are not worth the paper they're written on (D'Oh!!!!!!!) and I, for one, am sure as hell not going to send money to someone who I don't even know.
I believe that the time has come for all eBay wannabes to realize that the novelty of on-line auctions has gone, and rather than trying to start up another one, they should use the existing biggies out there to buy and sell and make their retirement fund that way.

Where did I ask for a donation ? The fees charged are for services and notthing more. The funding I was speaking of is from investors that we already have and investors that are looking at investing. I would not ask for donations from users. I just have listened to so many small sites say that they can not afford advertising because the big publishers want an arm a leg and ten toes for advertising and they just can't afford it. I have contracted with 4 publishers to provide prices that hopefully everyone can afford. We are also going to do online training in a voice chat room teaching sales and marketing so people can ask questions and get answers right away. I hope that anyone having ideas that could help the merchants or users will let me know.

BidVille is the largest or one of the largest third tier sites in number of listings and they allow linking and even own the www.feedbacksite.com unit and have clickable links so you that sellers can post every feedback and auction item on the other major site on each and every BV auction.
The only real auction site that cares about the feedback mentioning and links is eBay. Yahoo is manned by a bunch of poorly functioning robots and the other third tier sites do not have the manpower or the desire to cleanse their auctions of violators.
If that is one of your major selling points then you are in trouble because it is an non-issue on everywhere but eBay. In my opinion eBay has every right to not allow linking to other auction sites and feedback. Many sellers hate eBay but come there and run sign post auction to their low traffic auction site. Why should eBay allow that?

Powermall we like you and are just playing with you like RB said. Let's us three get together and have a group hug like they do at some religious meetings.
Good luck with the site. Have you tired spreading the gospel, er rather the word, at OTWA and Mootroplis yet? This place is like Tombstone Arizona.

No this is the first place I have been too. I was not sure if you can post this stuff over there. I have been so busy trying to get this together that I have not been keeping up with message boards and where you can post what. Not much time to do anything but slave away. I think I am going on fumes right now. I need a vacation. Please pass the crying towel.
