After seeing someone mention epier, i decided to go take a look at the site. It looks like a friendly, well designed site and i am probably going to start selling on there soon. I just have some questions for anyone who has more experience on epier:

1) Have you had any luck with their storefronts? They look very nice, much better than eBay. What kind of payments does it accept and how does the checkout work? I could really find no info on that.

2) Have you been able to find the information you needed when you had a question? I found some of the FAQ's weren't very helpful for some things and they don't seem to have much in the way of real 'help' files.

3) How is the environment over there, i.e., how many deadbeats and other problem users have you experienced?

Any feedback would be most welcome and appreciated.

REgarding ePier, I believe it depends on what you sell. We handle everything from knives to crystal chandeliers, and yet we can't give items away on ePier. On the other hand, my elder son (an adult - not a child), keeps about 1,000 auctions running on ePier, and does fantastic, but he only deals in coins.

For us, I have as yet to find one item which sells good on ePier, although we are Power Sellers on eBay.

Test it before you jump in "hook, line and sinker." It may work great for your items, or it may be like for us, absolutely nothing.

I like the look and the ease of use of the site, but the lack of sales is what is important to us.

Good advice that pretains to all online auction sites.

Unsure about the automated check out thing, although I personally feel they should be outlawed (JMHO), but you will find there are less deadbeats than bidville, but more than Yahoo or ebay. Sales will come, but slowly. There image hosting is top-notch. I use it for all auctions. There are also many things you can preset so you don't have to keep adding them everytime and all you have to do is put the main body of the auction in. The storefronts are easy to use, but not really worth the price as sales produced generally don't outway the fees.
On the auctions, it is free to list basic listings and to host images. When you sell something, there is a very small FVF which is nothing when you get a sale. They are also starting advertising which should improve page looks and sales soon.
One downfall is their customer service. Often it is non-responsive. If you need action, you need to contact the administration. I have done this and had good results.
Good luck in your sales.

Thanks everyone for the info. I have access to a wide range of products from many different categories so i'll just do some experimenting and see what i can get to sell over there. At least it won't cost me anything.

I love the small site epier, they have been a fair honest way for an internet seller to make a buck, it is true that some catagories have many more bidders than others, but the fact is that they have more bidders than everyone else except ebay and amazon and yes I did intentionally list yahoo behind them in sales.

I just checked out epier for the first time and looked at 5 different categories and saw lots of listings but not one of them had any bids.Looks like a waste of time to list there.
