Hmmm....
Just went over and took a look at Epier , after seeing a post here , seems like a nice pretty site ... but so does SYI ( sell your item .com ) , where we seem to be completely wasting our time .... ( 2 Months , No Sales No Views At All ).
HuH , I don't think I have another ( look and try , upload and wait , Will We Get Any BuYers Or Lookers ... ) In Me !
Epier , just like SYI has a great interface and listings are free , lots of great gadgetry , BuT , What I Want To Know First Is ...
Are The Sellers Making Any Money Over There ???
Are They Getting Sales ???
I FiguredI'd Ask Someone First This Time Before Setting Up Shop ... 3500 + Auctions .

You aren't going to get rich at epier either, but they have great image hosting, much easier to load auctions than SYI and they have a great feature on the auto-relist. It keeps relisting without annoying relist e-mails and keeps relisting until you get a sale, so it is very very low maintenance. You get an e-mail when you get a bid which is a nice feature. Support there is pretty much non-existant on the down side, but the site don't have much down time in the up side. I would go ahead and list your items their but post them on other 3rd tier sites as well. If you sell something, you can cancel the auction easily. Good luck in your sales.

Is BV the lone holdout, other than very new sites? I think I'd rather pay a 4% or 5% FVF than $60/yr to pay for image hosting and verification like BV. I suppose if your auctions do not need images it may be a good place to warehouse auctions at $5/yr.

I just listed a bunch on Epier. Stuff that didn't sell on Ebay. Motorcycle parts. The price is right and I can leave the items on till someone needs them. I figured the store front was a fair deal at 9.95 a month. Just to get ones name out there. I've add a link from my website. Hopefully it will bring some of the motorcycle and MC parts buyers to the site. Yahoo is Dead and most of the others are crap. Ebay's the one but getting more and more expensive. I don't see anything out there that's as promising at the moment. I think an investment of a lttle money and some time may be worth it.

eBay is getting expensive because it is getting harder and harder to sell stuff there with everyone and his brother selling there as well. The number of deadbeats has greatly increased at eBay also.
The lure of selling at online auctions is not near as promising as it was in years past. It is almost not worth the considerable effort involved.

Depending on what your selling, Ebay is either the only game in town or just a big expense. It's still working for me but it cost me $300 and up a month. It's worth it for me just to have my auctions seen. I have a large following on ebay. I moved a lot of people from ebay to Yahoo a couple years ago when we were having a lot of problems with ebay and ebay motors. It worked for a while but Yahoo turned to crap and lost all it's buyers. I think they may be closing shop soon (Yahoo Auctions) seems the writing's on the wall.
