Taken from the Krause superseller.
"In celebration of 500,000 listings, ePier will be giving away $500 in cash and prizes during the month of July. Look for contest details on the company's Web site. "As many people know, we are cash flow positive. By keeping cost down we are putting more resources into advertising and promoting ePier," said James Kim, president, CEO and marketing director for ePier, Inc.
Wow, 500,000 listings. That is even more than Yahoo. I hope sales pick up there.

I haven't much liked many of the tactics Mr. Kim has done with ePier, but I do have one interesting thing to say. He did turn the site around and made it profitable within a very short time once he set his mind to it. And I'm finding it very interesting that listings have reached as high as they have. I haven't listed auctions on ePier for about 10 months now, maybe a little less, but a couple of weeks ago I received an e-mail from an ePier buyer wanting to purchase something I had listed there a year ago. Apparently he'd searched the completed auctions for it (I did that search and sure enough it was there). As it turned out, I hadn't ran that listing since and still had the item on hand, so that made for one very happy buyer--and one surprised seller!

I seem to remember about a year ago that many people were sayig that ePier was Enron-ing the listing numbers by counting all items in Dutch Auctions. I wonder if their auction listing counts are accurate.
