Guess the site?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I just want to thank all of you who have bid on my auctions. I appreciate you and your business.
I tried to stick it out here, but when you list many auctions and they run their course of 7 days over and over again with not even a look...I felt maybe my items were not good enough or something.
I posted in the cafe and shamless plugs and most of the time never even got a response...just my posts pushed to the bottom or to the next page.
I did very well at first when I was new, but as time passed so did the looks and bids. After a while it gets too depressing to even sign on.

Bids many of the die-hard bidville supporters are jumping ship daily. Several of the "dregs" as dim calls them are running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to dismiss it lol. Others are blaming the economy, but they know you cant give alot of the stuff on bidville away. For any seller thinking of selling there forget it! Put your good items on ebay or yahoo, and give the junk away!

I see a lot of Vulture threads and Miss Vulture contest types of threads on BV. Those may be very symbolic of BV as there are vultures circling overhead the site. ( bryan's mysterious abscence ) To be fair, the vultures are circling over most online auctions. Even eBay has some Turkey Buzzards hovering.

I have been on Bibville.com for a very long time, and I have not sold one item. What can I do to sell something? I have the lowest prices and great stuff.

Bidville is a good site, but lacks management and basic skills. Until those things improve the site will continue to slowly decline.

The rapidly weakening economy and influx of yet more auction and fixed price venues has to hurts as well.
If a site's bidding is mostly done by sellers and those sellers tighten their money belts due to slow sales of their goods, then the problem both compounds and magnifies.

I am not a seller there,but it's true for all sites,Yes so true,same as when only chat friends bid on your stuff you are only prolonging the agony.
I am trying a few different sites that have a unique format i am afraid auctions are really slowing down.
the more i look at ebay the more shillers i see, i mean many phony bids,ebay gets paid & the sellers are hurting themselves & everyone else.

timetravelers, you very correct on all points. As RB has stated many times before, the fad of online auctions is over.
Even eBay is now filled with deadbeats and bad sellers. I wish eBay was exactly like Half, you pay them and the seller sends the goods. If there is a problem, Half goes to bat for the buyer/seller and your credit card company can do a chargeback. The sellers get their money and the buyers get their stuff. No auction games.

Hi, I am new to this site and in looking at questions previosly posted quite a few seem to be over the lack of bids. I myself sell thousands of watches through my company in many ways,so, I looked at the watch site and could not find a single bid on any watch. I also sell jewelry , so, I looked at jewelry and could not find a bid. This appears to be a great concept but to be a success it appears you need a way of attracting people who actually want to buy something. I found this site totally accidentaly and I have been selling on auction sites for years.

More room for new fresh sellers at Bidville. Talk about a great move on Bidville's part to support the elimination of old worn out worthless sellers.
