People do not realize that OTHER people are capable of also reporting posts that are placed here.

Things might just change for the better here AW, as some of us have fully read the AuctionWatch User Agreement and know the limits of such an agreement.

So, wonderful people, let's get back to some good discussions!

Are you a wannabe moderator? The BV forum at Mootroplis died and you came over here to play Wyatt Earp?

So, what did happen to Part 2 of the stats thread YD? I'm guessing that someone else (other than the taxi guy) came close to violating AW CG 8.6., which states, in part:

"You will breach this Agreement if you:
d) Attempt to access other members' passwords, account information, or private information.
g) Post private information about any person that is not readily available to the general public. This includes, but is not limited to, phone numbers, addresses, full names, email addresses, and an auction ID or auction user ID."

I have just read the taxi guy's post above and that one comes awfully close to the same type of violation, plus it makes an accusation that is totally false about me opening up an eBay seller account from work.

While I have no problem stating my own identity here, I believe that others should follow the same policy that I do and that is clearly stated in the above AW Commuity Guideline ... it is relatively easy to find out a poster's personal info but that doesn't make the poster fair game.

So, has that other poster been given the heave-ho from AW?

Where is PatTaylor or Joice when you need them

PS ... taxi guy ... I don't have a home page, and there's only one 'l' in "Marshal"

I am not a moderator, nor do I want to be. However, I am attacked, insulted, and walked all over when I do not do the same to others. Just because I support other sites (as well as AW) doesn't give people the right to belittle me or anyone else. It is a violation of the contract here at AW.

People do not have the right to trash other sites and people at their whim, and without resorting to facts. They are entitled to their opinion, BUT only within the AW guidelines.

I have the right to report violations as I see them. It seems that others here do it all the time. Someone doesn't agree, people encite them and then report them to get them suspended. Trust me, I won't resort to insults, name-calling, or any of the other petty attempts at lowering me to the same level.

For the record, I never stated where RB worked. I said I didn't work for a certain facility, and while the implication was there, RB could have just as easily denied it. It was his call.

Honestly, I think it wasn't right for bidsbids to imply that RB worked at mental hospital and should be in it, or I in it. He works for a very respectable organization and I commend him for it.

You think Moo is bad, you really should take another look at some of the threads here at AW (if they haven't been deleted). Just because the moderators are gone doesn't mean AW's management is gone.

Now is the time for good discussion here at AW. I showed my support here by bringing back some of the better discussions instead of the same old SPAM and stats stuff that seems to be building here. You might not agree with me, but I AM within the guidelines of AW.

Honestly, I think it wasn't right for bidsbids to imply that RB worked at mental hospital and should be in it, or I in it.

I didn't read what bidsbids had to say, but our campus includes 25 buildings, 6 of which are hospitals and one of those which is a Group B1 Psychiatric facility. Therefore, you could say I am in that environment for approximately 1/25 of my working day. btw, we don't call them mental hospitals anymore and haven't for a long time

He works for a very respectable organization and I commend him for it.

Thanks ... we have a great history here!

jimtaxi ... I have taken the liberty to report you to AuctionWatch for violation of their Community Guidelines. I am also taking steps against you off AW for making libeluous statements about me using my work email address to register at eBay or any other venue, on-line service, or chat group. This is simply untrue, and I suggest you either try to get yourself into a position to be able to back up this claim with facts, or make a public apology here.

Thanks eh

BW:

Not slow at Moo at all, I am capable of having more than one window open at a time.

RB:

bidsbids was basically saying that we BOTH worked together at the same mental hospital or possibly we were BOTH patients at the same hospital.

RB, you would be in good shape if you came back over to Moo, as you are welcome there, and you don't have so many people from here attacking you at every turn. I just noticed that there are quite a few that seems to dislike each other here. Too bad too.

Great day, ya'll!

YD ... I don't mind the frontal attacks ... they're easy to handle. I don't like the cowardly below-the-belt, in-the-back stuff though, and that is why I have had one person here on ignore for such a long time. It's easier to pretend that these types of people simply don't exist

However, I did see what jimtaxi posted in this thread and I am taking the appropriate steps even as I type. More on that later when "the results are in".

I had a look at the Moo last night and there didn't seem to be many new discussions that I could participate in. The only auction venue that I dabble in now is eBay and I doubt if I will be spending any more money there. I do play around on some of their chats though.

I am glad you are reporting jimtaxi. He needs it, as well as a couple of other posters.

deichen ... Back in the good old days at AW, those kinds of personal information/libelous posts would have been deleted, and the poster would have been suspended. I know that I was suspended for 30 days for doing something similar ( except my comment was aimed at an unknown person who was littering the boards under all possible variants of the ID 'dimview' ).

RB:

Point is to come back and discuss the issues that you are interested in, being anti-piracy, etc. If you don't want to, that is fine too I guess. I find it interesting myself.

Also I have noticed that we seem to see a lack of posting on the part of bidsbids here at AW. Odd.

Have a great day, ya'll!

I personally think that OOA went downhill after the mods left. Certain posters felt they could attack other posters and make personal comments. Hopefully, someone is looking into this as I see several threads have disappeared.

Actually the mods never went away, they just scaled back their operation. I told that to a cetain poster who was kicked several times the last being a few weeks ago. I dont know the story on RB, but if anyone did wrong then they should be punished. I would never give any personal info to anyone.

Kodi,
Maybe someone just got a warning. I am not sure though. Suspension would have been better, though!

Someone seems absent, but I just can't put my finger on WHO.

It's a mystery to me.
