The sale ends tonight at midnight. Do you have a crystal ball, too?

Well if the sale ends at midnight alot of sellers will be upset. Many of the items with bids end well after midnight so those items will be deleted am I correct? As Dimview pointed out there are items still in mass relist from the past 3 sales.

Isn't that what BV wanted to stop on their first ever BV managed sale? The continued running of relisted auctions with a special sale code in the title that is. BV says they will delete them but they better mean they will only cancel them or else there will be many irate sellers that have to do their deleted auctions over from scratch.

BVCS had the perfect solution, and has simply removed the $1S from the auctions.
I know that you will be disappointed when there are not a lot of upset Sellers, but your response does not explain the title of this thread, the time it was posted, or your ability to see into the future.
If you are going to act as though you are an officiate of some kind with regard to statistics, perhaps you should try to present something a little more tangible than a crystal ball.

BV has the capability to remove $1S from auction titles yet can not create a simple description search?

Considering recent events it wouldn't surprise me if they actually did do something about the description search. Wouldn't that be sweet??? It would be a real time saver for you... Just think, you have one less thing to derail threads with.

It is the only online auction site without a description search. That makes it a three-legged horse in a horse race and it's difficult to hide that very sad fact.

Hey all of my auctions are gone. I had hundreds of $1s auctions listed and now they are gone. I had them on autorelist so I didn't have to do anything with them until they sold and now they are gone. What a joke Bidville is. How do they expect any quality people to stay if they are treated this way.

And even without a description search, BV is still the best 3rd tier site out there. Go figure
Stonecold, if that has actually happened perhaps you would be better off emailing BVCS and asking them what happened to your auctions. No one else has reported anything on the boards at BV. If something like that had happened you'd think it would have happened to more than just you.

robertsmithson there are still over 650 sale items still listed. Like stonecold said they have cancelled auctions because the listing number has dropped off by over 5 thousand listings since last evening.
RadarLove aka Cuff: They did not remove the $1s from the listings because there are well over 600 items still on not to mention the items from the last 3 sales. You should email them and remind them, and while your at it ask about the description search.

I would call you DimView, but I think it's very apparent that you are not as knowledgable about stats as DimView is. If you want to call me Cuff be my guest, but you will be just as wrong about that as you are about the statistics of this sale.
If you have a problem with the numbers being reported, drop customer service a line. I would assume that the auctions still bearing the $1S tag are ones that were relisted without editing after midnight when the sale ended. If those autions had previously ended and were sitting on a Seller's closed auctions list for a few days, then they came back and relisted them that's probably what would happen. The $1S tag would not be affected on a closed auction, and it is doubtful that BVCS will keep removing the tag since the sale banner is gone and the sale has ended. This would be by fault of a Seller, and not BVCS.

Bidville the third best site out there.
Give me a break. I don't even rank them in the top ten after their complete screw up. It has become clear that they do not want good quality items at their site and I say good riddens. I am sick of having to sift through all of those crap sports card and recipe auctions anyway. Even with the so called "sale", I still sold more at Yahoo during the same time period.

Calling BV the best third tier site is a highly subjective statement, similar to calling Budweiser the best beer.
I am going to make a BV prediction. Okay, BV makes almost all of its revenue from the $10/month & $15 month Premium & Premium Plus subscriptions. To enhance the special subscriptions members are given extras such as extra photos that can be stored on the BV or BV contracted imaging servers, as well as listing/gallery credits. The percentage of BV members with subscriptions is about 25-30%% and slightly dropping a little each month. The lure of extra photos or listing/gallery credit means very little to baseball card sellers that have no photos and mostly only care about the ease of 20 relists at 30 days each. For BV to get more subscriptions it must tap into the sellers that are only warehousing their items with long term relisting. Here's the prediction .... BV will soon only offer the 20 relist option to subscription members, the regular members will be limited to a much smaller number of relists, perhaps in the 3 to 5 relist range. That's still 90 days to 150 days so not too many sellers will leave. To warehouse ( and not have to move ) 2,000 to 5,000+ card auctions for only $125/year is still a deal, either pay that or find another site and move all of the auctions. The move will also help BV rid itself of the 'warehouse site' label.

Well I would agree with you, but since some of those items end today and tomorrow I cant unless bidville has 1 day auctions.
stonecold613 users like to call bidville #3, but you cant compare it to yahoo or ebay at all. The site is a no win case. If you charge a insertion fee or fvf the site will go in the red big. A flat FVF on all the sale items sold could not pay a light bill.
robertsmithson bidville needs to cut the relists down to 2 times across the board. There are still items believe it or not from the past 3 sales in circulation. The site is full of clutter.

It costs $5 per year to simply warehouse your items. Sellers who pay for Premier are a bit more active and successful because they have an investment of time, effort and money. I would like to know where you get your figures reference to the number of Premier members (there's that crystal ball again).
The only thing cluttered is this thread.

I believe more than a few AW users were intrigued with bidsbids daily featured sellers index. I know I certainly was. So much so that I continued to keep track of the amount of featured sellers that had a premium membership.
This is bidsbids last post with the index:
8/06
240 featured sellers and 67 have had a paid membership
That works out to 27.9% of the featured sellers with a premium membership then.
Since then the total number of featured sellers has grown to 474 and out of those only 122 have had a paid membership so the percentage is now down to 25.7% . That's a 2% drop in just over a month.
That is the best indicator of the current percentage of BV sellers with 50+ items that have a premimum membership. Those figures are taken from BV's own featured sellers list.

Sticking to the "new" topic, which Blairwitch has introduced...
Blairwitch you're not a coward are you? What did you say your username is at Bidville? And I know you're not afraid to share your username at any other auction site you may be a member of.
Surely you don't want to be classified on the same level as those you call "cowards"? Come on now, tell us.
Oh, is it possible that you have a logical explanation for not giving your usernames, but no one else could have one?

Blairwitch, I have never been suspended from this site, or any other. It appears that you spend entirely too much time trying guess who someone is, instead of addressing the subject of the threads, or having a viable conversation.
You changed the subject of this thread, and I responded to it.
You made a very bold accusation against a broad number of people. You accused them of something that you do yourself, but called them a very disrespectful name for their actions.
I simply pointed out that you, also, fall into that category, according to your own opinion.
Harrassment? A bit of the pot calling the kettle black, don't you think?

BW, I don't know what part of your mind those stats came from. I know of at least one category where I alone bought more sale items than you claim were sold! Surely I'm not the only person in the world that bought in that category, either.
If you're going to make up figures, try to make them at least remotely believable.
