Poor guy can not even respond to his own thread about him at BV because he is now unverified and unable to post on the boards.

Hope you get better Hap, you were the cream of the crop of the sellers over there.

You'd think he'd spring for his annual $5 verification fee so he could at least chat on the BV boards. Seems like he was never really very fond of the chat boards and it wasn't worth the $5 to him but if he comes back to sell he'll have to pay the fee anyway.

$10 a year for verification now. $5.00 for 6 months, $2.50 for a single month.

I miss HAP personally, wish he'd post somewhere. Excellent human being.

Thanks Kodi. Perhaps it would be more honest of BV to call the verification fee a mandatory sellers fee. I read an article somewhere on the Net that a credit verification company charged $2.50 to verify a card. BV may get a steep discount will it's large number of sellers needing bi-annual verifying or BV may even be pocketing the money without verifying the card, especially with the longtime members.

Bidville is a subscription/membership site. They should make this clear in the user agreement. Saying its for verification to protect the site is very dishonest.

Has BV updated their user agreement since I left over a year ago? Seems to me that was one of their major problems ... not following their own policies, just kinda making things up as they went along.

That is a sneaky thing to do. Just double the yearly rate and not mention it. Rosie just mentioned it on the BV boards so maybe it will get some attention over there. She is "the conscience of BV" and a very wise lady.
