In response to the thread started by auctiongroup2002, I am starting this thread for anyone wishing to make a statement for or against BidWay or AuctionDiner or BidBay or whatever the heck they are calling themselves this week.

My personal experience with them is there is too much funny money there for my tastes and not worth the time dealing with there non-existant customer service. And with all of the down time they experience, they need all of the customer support they can get. I will stay at epier as my warehouse site.

The discussion of this site was banned about 2 years ago.

I don't know if the ban is still in effect.

Discussion of the site sure did make this forum interesting though!

The ban was on a site named BidBay. If you go by the letter of the law that site no longer exists even if it was renamed because ebay sued them over the bay part of their name.

The AW police only respond to reasonable email complaints sent into them about their message boards.

I've never read a single complete post in any of the hundreds of posts that were here about BidBay a year ago. You could tell by the first few words in those posts that they were all very juvenile and combative and much worse than the BV supporters/detractors threads. ( hence the ban )

Well, there was a little bit more to it than that.

There was the "borrowing" of AW's templates as their own and forgetting to remove the AW copyright notice,

The multi IDs by management/employees singing the praises of BB/AD/BW,

The showdown with Mark@AW with the CEO and the list goes on.

It really was entertaining to watch!

Bidway, aka AuctionDiner, aka BidBay, has always been their own worst enemy. If you are looking for a step by step process on how to have an unsuccessful site then Bidway/AuctionDiner/BidBay is the place you need to visit.

If the auction community has a leper it would be Bidway/AuctionDiner/BidBay.

I guess a close second would be AuctionPie.
