I am a believer in supporting sites that are an alternative to eBay. We have been challenged by others on the board to give Ioffer a 30 day trial. I did--same kind of things I list elsewhere and sell.

I listed 40 items-they have all been closing now- I think 9 last ones end tomorrow.I had 28 left at the end. NO- NONE sold through Ioffer-- 12 did sell elsewhere due to being double listed.

Yes, they have loads of features and I did check the Alexa hit ratings and was pleasantly surprised--especially since auctions I do use and sell on are in the 200,000+ numbers on the list. No, ioffer isn't for me. No offers. The most hits was 8 on costume jewellery--in 30 days! Some items had zero.

I think the 30 day trial is worth the time--it might be a site that works for you. That "might be" makes it worth the effort for those looking for an alternative. You may have the items that will sell there!

I didn't see anything--but perhaps Ioffer could post a list of top 10 categories that had sales on a weekly or monthly basis. It may give people some ideas since you can't see any "Bids" on items to judge by.

Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your bad luck on ioffer.

I've been listing some of my 'extra's' there, over the last several months, and while there has not been a great rush of activity, I have been selling on a regular basis.

The 'make an offer' theme gives me an opportunity to list items, without a forced sale committment, so have the power to weed out the real buyers from the bottom feeders.

Yeah me too, I have had no luck at all, I think I listed 35 things and not one Offer, the most hits is 7, and most have 0, it has been almost 30 days now and nothing...
Oh well... Gave it a shot!!

Who cares if a seller gets any sales from the site. Use the free store as if it were a stand-alone site. Use Froogle to get customers. Place a sig file in your EOA letters to auction winners on your ebay auctions.

A barebones stores is at least $20 month and their's is free. Any sale from an ioffer bidder is only a bonus.

You can use your free store like a website and use google adwords to drive traffic to your store. Ebay stores are just as bad for not getting traffic. You have to work hard to drive traffic to look at your items.
