Taken from a different forum and not my direct quote.

8179 - Being kicked off ioffer - By schnobbly - Posted on: 8/22/2003 8:04:53 PM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I made some comments in auctionbytes about ioffer being slow and they kicked me off. I had 1400 auctions and they locked me out. I hope anyone that lists in ioffer is careful what they say because they monitor everything and there are many rules about what you are allowed to say. Do not say they are slow because they will kick you off. Seems very communistic if you ask me.

WTF???

Is GT(Bidbay/Auctiondiner/Bidway's CEO} working at ioffer now?

That's definitely something he would do...

You know, I have mixed feelings and experiences about Ioffer. I am not a die hard cheerleader. Eventually, if eBay doesn't buy them out, I think they will be a nice "other place" to list. So I keep some listings there. I actually had $20 worth of sales in the last month!

Now--about the above quoted post.I do believe in fairness. I think someone actually addressed this on perhaps a forum, that may belong to that site--and I am not mentioning it by name.LOL!

This is not my words but a quote from the site.It may not really even be relating to the above person--but it may be and in fairness--I just wanted to share it.Hopefully I am not breaking Vendio rules. :

It's a free world but don't soil your fellow members listings Posted: Aug 22, 2003 06:05 PM

As some of you may have heard we have removed a long standing member from our community. There is one thing that will automatically and with no hesitation get you removed permanently from iOffer, without any consideration given to the length of time you have been here, the number of items you have listed or the amount of fees you have paid. This member used the Question & Offers portion of another member's item to make disparaging remarks. In this particular case it was a rebuttal to comments left for them on another site. You are in no way permitted to use another person's items or store for any type of retribution.

Tough decision by management. This may be two sides to the same issue--or not. I don't know either poster. Both situations would be sad.

wow. Bidville does the same type of thing and other sites as well I'd imagine.

Now you know why these sites will never become a success.

Gads!! Sunk to defending them--FeePay doesn't allow auction interference and gets you thrown off too . Why should IO be different?

This is a tough stance--but playing with someone else's listings and livelihood is a hard line issue. No selling venue should allow it.
