Salgal,

I'd really like to know where you get your information from.

There are several auction sites that have been around a lot longer than the two you think are thriving and have a better success rate.

Everyone's mileage may vary, but depending on what you sell, there is not one site besides Ebay that will be all things to all people.

Bidville's sell through rate is abysmal for the number of listings.

I really think you need to do your homework before you try to be an expert.

Ebay is a far cry from all things to all people. I suggest you give BidVille a try The new owner is actively upgrading the site and advertising.

Good luck wherever you choose to sell.

I am on Bidville. Let's cross our fingers.

Ironically all my most recent sales this year have come from Amazon, it seems they've expanded beyond books & cds. I sell software and electronics.

Bidville and Ioffer. Give me a break. It's Ebay number one. Yahoo Number two and there isn't anything else worth mentioning.

It's rare that I agree with Stonecold, but this is one of those times.

Yhaoo isn't great, but it *IS* without any question, number two.

Nothing else is even remotely close.

I too agree but it is a VERY, VERY distant Number Two. The best part about the current Yahoo Auctions is that Yahoo beat the crap out of ebay in the Japanese market and caused them to close their ebay-auction site there. That had to have hurt ebay's powerful ego a lot.

Also Yahoo has many great free listing options that ebay doesn't but they are wasted on an almost dead site. Very sad.
