Anyone ever use Onsale.com? Looks like there is product for sale there but I just do not see the bidders.

Has anyone ever had any success with this auction site? I like the format and the layout it is nice and clean.

Your thoughts....

Hi
I do not know anything about this site.
I just went over to take a look and can not find any place the name of the owners of what country this site is from. Yes there is the Pres. statment, But I could set up a site and make a statment also. That means nothing to me.
I do not like this about new auction sites.
WHO ARE They?
Where are they?
How long in business?

Maybe you can let me know the link to that area on the onsale.com site.

I am not going to give out my info, till I know lots more about the site I may sign up on.
There is nothing there to find out about the owners.

We know who owns ebay, Amazon, Yahoo and so on but who owns that site???

Good points... I don't know where they are from, but I think they used to be a retail establishment that turned auction, because I remember them from years back during the .com boom, they have been around for a while. I just had not been there for a while.

I received an newletter from them the other day which is what made me go to the site an look around.

Revised to add:

Looks like they are owned by PC Mall Inc. Which owns PCmall.com, Mcmall.com and Ubid.com. Or they used to own ubid.com until they sold it in 1998.

Anyway more information on there website here it is:

http://www.onsale.com/companyinfo/company_info.aspx.

If you go to PCMall.com there is the full contact information and address as well.

They were the number one auction site BEFORE eBay came along. I used to buy computer parts there all the time.

Then they were bought out by Egghead Software and died a quick death. This is the reborn version.
