Q:
What is an NPB Report?

A:

An NPB (non-paying bidder) report link appears next to an item on a seller's sold list 10 days after the item has closed. If the link is clicked, a popup will appear that says, "Please confirm you want to report a Non-Paying Bidder." If the seller clicks "ok," the page will reload, and where the NPB report link was located, it will say "filed mm/dd/yyyy." If the seller clicks "cancel," the page will reload, and where the NPB link was located, it will say "Rejected mm/dd/yyyy." The seller will then receive an email confirming the report.

The winning bidder will also receive an email with a link to a page where he or she can respond to the claim of non-payment by clicking either "confirm" or "dispute."

If the bidder clicks "confirm," it will be noted on the site. The seller will then be issued a credit for the closing fee, and a note will be entered in the CSR (customer service representative) notes for both the buyer's and the seller's accounts.
If the bidder clicks "deny," it will be noted in the seller's CSR notes. The seller's My Account page will then show "disputed mm/dd/yyyy" for that item, and a customer service rep will work with the seller and the bidder to resolve the claim.

If the bidder does not respond to the e-mail after 14 days, then the seller will be automatically refunded for the closing fee, and a note will be entered in the CSR notes for both the buyer and seller.
