To AG2 and others.
Don't you think it is time tihat you stopped sending people to that auction site?
Personally, I tend to agree with your feelings regarding the self inflicted problems and discrepancies there, but the constant bickering about it has got to be an advertising windfall for them.
It even seems obvious that there are people being sent to these boards for the sole purpose of antagonizing you and fanning the flames.
for every ten poeple that go there and check out what is happening, probably one or two stay and list, or bid.
It would be pretty costly for this site to get the kind of exposure that you are providing, and they are making full exploitation of.
I would suggest that you file your complaints as you have done, and let it go at that. I am sure there will be attempts to bait you, and draw you back into this SOAP OPERA SCENARIO, because the PTB there realize what you are doing for them, even if you do not.
Again, please do not take this post the wrong way, I do believe you, and also wonder how so many can seem so fanatically devoted in the face of evidence, but at least stop mentioning the name of the site. they do not need the advertising plus.

I am just as guilty when it comes to providing them with the free publicity, but I agree with jimhhow. It's just so darn easy to win a debate with these people!

Let's stop giving them the free exposure. Let's let them drink their koolaid and make imaginary claims of buying yahoo and amazon.

Jimhhow,
I would like to state for the record that I have not been sent, bribed, employed, or coerced in any way, manner, or fashion to come here and bait or attack anyone. I merely respond to direct requests or anything directed at me. I appreciate your well written plea to end all of this nonsense and hope that it will not fall upon deaf ears. No site is entirely perfect after all. JMHO....

On the other hand, without the posts on this board and Bidbay members' response, would Mark and the more ethical of Bidbay users have discovered that Bidbay was using AW's templates. Some of them left Bidbay for that reason as they did not wish to be associated with that type of behavior.

Would the violations of the SEC's quiet period have been noticed at all? Would the censorship at Bidbay have been publicized.

Were I to read posts such as these, I would think long and hard about patronizing such a site. For the few who might opt to use Bidbay, I believe there are many others, such as myself, who appreciate the information being provided on these threads.

jada,
I agree that bringing these issues to light is important and even newsworthy. My point is that there comes a time when it gets turned around and used to make a political hay for the ones that really may not deserve it. I think for most of these issues that line has been reached. and the only results of continually baiting and refuting back and forth ad infinitum will be to increase publicity for the site.
By the way, I did not mention any site name. pretty obvious that everyone knows it though. That is the power of exposure. And it works.

You did mention AG2, and having read most of his threads, that led me to the conclusion that you were referring to Bidbay. If you had not used his name, I might have thought you were referring to Bidbay, but being unsure would simply have asked you for that information.

I suppose we differ on when the line has been crossed, the template issue only came to light within the last two or three days.

I understand and respect your position on this issue, and you certainly have a valid point. However, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

and you also posted the same thing in the moderators room. Ever notice how they send first one cheerleader then another over here? One stays and fusses till he gets warned, then he leaves and sends another! So obvious!!
