Hi telwil,
My sales are up at e-bay, Up and down at Bidbay, I just listed 3 aucitons at Yahoo and they are getting bids. I do pretty good on e-bay because of the type of items I sell. Bidbay, I could have no bids one minute and then go back and I will have a lot of bids. (I like the atmosphere on Bidbay) Yahoo, I use to sell a lot when they started charging I stopped for awhile. I am interested to see what my auctions do there. I really notice that my auctions (at all sites) seem to be doing very well over all. I am also finding great items to bid on too! Have a great weekend telwil!!

I am way DOWN! But in doing this for nearly 3 years, I have also noticed that at least for me, the sales slump in the early spring thru until fall. I do not think people spend as much time on the internet, when the weather gets nicer.

Hi deichen,
Well I know for sure my sales will slow down come April through Summer because I go back to my real work. (Landscaping) I do not list that much during them months. I hope everyone`s sales do real well for the rest of the year and beyond!!

Right now I'm only listing on ePier and eBay and nothing is moving. If this keeps up I'll expand to a couple more sites or hang it up for a while, LOL.

deichen: What user ID do you use. I saw a post in another thread and have been meaning to ask you as I tried to look at your auctions with your id here and it's didn't work. Thanks!

I am down on small-ticket items, but surprisingly have had a decent amount of success lately in the $100-$500 range. I think its partly that there is an over saturation of $5 and $10 items.. Anybody else selling higher priced items?

RAH.. RAH.. RAH!
I have been known to be a BIDVILLE cheerleader on these boards, so I refrained from mentioning that site specifically for one post. Well, I tried to.
Can't spell, but that's ok, can't type either so no one notices.

BTW, I sell collectibles, mostly Glass, china and pottery. Love DEpression glass and Carnival glass, and Elegant and Victorian also. Ah, I enjoy it all.

I've been selling on ebay since July. Things were great last summer and during the Fall. January and February have been fairly slow. I used to sell anything I listed at $1.00 to $3.00 (mostly theatre booklets, brass, small figurines, wood items, etc.). Not anymore. On my more expensive items, such as Belleek, Lladro, Bing & Grondahl, when I list them as a reserve auction, I receive bids but the reserve is never reached. When I list them at a higher starting price, I don't receive ANY bids. I don't feel my prices are too high...they are always $100-$200 less (depending on the object) than what the price guide lists the items. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I think part of the problem is that collectibles are not a necessity of life. Since sales are so bad on ebay for me right now, this month I have tried other auction sites. I sold one item on The Pottery Auction (which failed to receive bids on ebay), then I sold one item on Excite Auctions (another item that failed to sell on ebay after being listed twice). I felt encouraged, so I listed items on Lyrcros (nothing happened) and now on ePier (only 8 lookers on one item, 2 or 3 views on three other items, no views on everything else, and no bids on anything). I listed new items on The Pottery Auction and currently I have bids on 3 out of 11 items, but they are not near the reserve and I doubt the prices will be reached on any of them. It's frustrating to spend so much time listing items when people want to pay only five dollars for an item valued at several hundred dollars. I don't know where to turn next.
