I've been trying to check out the... ummm... new train... I'm still getting the Under Construction page even though it was supposed to be back up today.

So, I try to go to BB to see if there's something on their message boards about it. Guess what, no BB either, getting errors & timed outs. Maybe they drank the koolaid?

Frankly, before GT&Co bought AuctionDiner I had never heard of it. I checked it out shortly afterwards and it seemed like a nice little site with alot of interesting things to offer like the latest news and a nice search engine.

Then the BB folks revamped it into BidBay advertising site and effectively killed it.

As they crisined the new AD with a bottle of kool aid, and the big buck stood and looked at one he had done. He proudly announced.
THIS TRAIN IS WORTH ONE MEEEEEEELION BIDBAY BUCKS! And the train rolled out of the station a ghost of what it was on the road to a messy derailment

Still can't get into AD. Get a screen with a message "click here to continue", but when I do I get a 404 error "bad request".

Guess they've gone underground

They have included a forum there for discussions about "AuctionWatch". Is this BidBay's CEO's revenge for not being allowed to post here? Unprofessional if that is the case.

Checked out auction diner, and it is just another bidbay chat forum. It is nothing at all like it used to be.

The only positive addition are the links to the news. These are all links to Yahoo (which at least is a credible site.

I wonder why they needed another chat forum?

From the looks of things over there I don't think the Forum name will mean a thing. Each and every one will be a BB rah rah room. |I got a chuckle out of their registration page, it said something like "Welcome to the internets top auction portal". I honestly believe there is more going on than meets the eye, and there are other motives for allowing the site to develope the way it has i.e. "millions of valueless auctions".Get rid of the contests for BBB's and the recipes and there might be some nice things there that could help grow the site into a respectable online auction host. I don't think this will happen under this ownership.

I just took a peek at one of the threads on the BB chat board re: recipes.

How pathetic that they try to defend the 1 million plus recipe auctions.

Between the BS on the boards and the incredible behavior of the CEO, I just cannot BELIEVE this is supposed to be a legitimate, professional auction site.
