Wow, this is a topic over at the chats, someone bragging about ALL those ++ comments! Wow, 66 different users and 3543 ++ comments and of course, no negative! What a LAUGH. Do I smell something sour here?
YES, they forgot to add the sugar to the Kool-Aid mixture! Does anyone take this feedback seriously???

This gets even funnier! This person has 889 auctions going (18 pages)! I looked on this first 5 pages and they were all a nickel! Most likely all of the auctions are that price, but I was laughing so hard that I ended at 5 page views!
Hey, this seller has made a WHOOPING $177.15, if each of the auctions sold for the nickel price!
BidBay, you must be sooooooo proud!
edited for a typo!

Geeze...3543 feedbacks simply means that 3543 transactions were completed. That's all. The fact that 5 pages were nickle auctions is irrelavent.....have you never purchased a common card for a set before? Surely you can find another, more viable complaint than this....

Well, that is your choice Alleycatpft...fortunately not everyone has to see and do things "your way". I fail to see the complaint of this thread. Someone lists 5 pages or more of nickle items. Illegal? No. Harmful? No. Their choice? Yes. The fact that they have sold over three thousand "nickle items" just tells me that there are some folks out there that DO purchase them. Many people depend on sellers like this to complete all of the different types of card sets that they may collect. I myself once purchased 6 different cards from one seller at a dime each. They completed a card set I had been working on for 10 years! The cards were listed at less than 2% of their actual face value individually and my completed set's value is worth 50 times the total amount I paid to build it. Now where exactly is the down side here???

different strokes for different folks, but an auction site with class would never do this, which explains why BB does it.

Here's a thought alleycat...why not stick to the thread topic? You opinion of BB is just that...yours. The topic is 3543 feedbacks based on "nickle auctions". Not what class you consider BB to be. If you can't comment on the thread content...how about keeping your comments to yourself? The topic is my concern here...not another episode of "Let's bash BB".....

hmmmmmmm ... hmmmmmmmmmmm ... HMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!
"Auction sites with class would never do this..."
ebay: 1 cent sport card auctions, 3 cent sport card auctions
Look 'em up yourself.
Just which classy site would never do this?
Talon, you're correct, the number of transactions = the total feedback on the site. It's nice to have repeat bidders and if one person bought all my items, I would be just as happy as if 3,000 people bought them, because it would be less work for me and I know they like my items.

LOL! Well, my complaint is that they pretend like they have all these wonderful buyers, etc...and they are all the same person, nickel auctions and most with BBB! NO, I do not consider that type of a seller to be as professional as someone who has (dare I say: sold an item for over $10.00). LOL
Talon:
Skip this thread if you don't like the subject. It won't hurt my feelings.

I don't shop in dollar and one cent categories so I wouldn't know. Talon just a reminder that while you may be top dog at Bidbay, you are not a moderator over here. I WAS following the subject and if it doesn't suit what you want to hear, well then it stinks to be you today!
Goodbye DAHLING'!!
MEOW pft pft!!

I'm not disputing the fact that there are no real cash buyers there; I'm just saying that there's absolutely no reason to dis a person because they made money, no matter how they made it. 1000 5 cent auctions or 1 $50 auction, what's the difference?

I truly see your point also, but I have lurked on the BidBay board for laughs! One seller will post a topic saying one more feedback and I will be at 200 and the next thing you know several people will post feedback for them! Gee, all funny money! Would I trust someone who sold nickel auctions with over 3500 comments by 66 unique users, if they all of a sudden decided to sell a diamond ring? I doubt it!

Alleycatpft,
Are you suggesting that I work for Bidbay? Or that I hold some sway over there? That's dangerous ground my friend. I would suggest that you not make accusations that you cannot prove with evidence. I am well aware of my status both there and here. I simply asked that you stick to the topic and not dogde it and trash Bidbay at the same time....no matter how artfully that you may try. The insinuation that Bidbay is a low class site has nothing at all to do with the thread topic and you know it. It stinks to be me? I think not.
