An Opinion of LowestBids......please keep your opinions on a professional and adult level. This forum is for us to express and learn. Every one here should be able to express themselves without fear of being ridiculed. I'd like to hear any comments you have, IF they are focused on the site features and not emotions. Thanks for helping keep this a GREAT place to discuss our auctions.

I've had good luck at this site. Lots of traffic. Offers some features I've not noticed elsewhere...BidBars...that allow ya to surf the net and still keep up with auctions. Can have your auctions normal...or choose to be on-line for live auctions. Worth looking at if you're not sure where ya wanna be yet. I noticed that it appears not many bids are being placed, but I know for me.....I accept live bids which ends the auction. So my sales only register if I search for my sold auctions. I checked a few sellers out and noticed lots of activity. Might be a good sign.
Lots of decent auction sites out there......hope everyone finds a place to make some money. That's the object for me...and right now, sales are good and seem to be getting better. Hope it continues.
Good luck to all!
Thanks AuctionWatch for allowing us to discuss other online auction sites.

BidBar= Bug ridden resource hog that is totally uneeded in an auction site and could and would be used as spy ware.
Site traffic? Almost nil along with the number of decent items being offered. A site that should be avoided.
Edited to corect bidbay like errors

Hey! I've been reading these postings, they've really been helpful. Anyway, the bidbar would be cool, except for the fact that it has that silly banner ad on them. Well, the lowestbid.com website layout is really confusing and I have no idea how to get around. Does anyone have any tips for this site?

Sorry newguy.......didn't mean to offend you.
There are over 2 million unique visitors today....seems like a lot of people to me. And I guess "decent" is in the eye of the beholder......I've seen lots of stuff I like, and of course, I like my own stuff pretty good too!! LOL

Hya noveltynook!
I usually get on the site by the BidBar, makes it easy.......no logging in, and then use the menu on the bar........takes me right where I wanna go. I like the ads on there, cuz they're ours...not company ads. They seem to be a fairly good tool for selling so far....but I don't buy 'em for all my items, just some of them.
Tech is pretty helpful there...ya might want to ask them about some changes that may help out. I've already noticed some more changes today...for the better. Never hurts to say what ya want...sometimes ya even get it. LOL

I have had great sucess of late, selling 2 to 3 things a day. I currently have 45 dutch auctions running(Under pfi309). The one thing I don't like about the sight is the inability to clone or relist closed auctions that had bids. You can't erase old bids, you have to reenter from scratch. So far I don't see what all the bashing is about, I know the sight is cluttered but people seem to be finding my auctions.

What good are 2,000,000 unique visitors (if they really do exsist) if they don't bid? Maybe they share my opinion of the merchandise or lack of decent stuff.

It is funny to hear someone say they will stay at bidbay because lowestbids has auctions with zero bids and most items by the same sellers. Biday is the land of 10,000 item dutch auctions where all 10,000 count toward the site total thereby inflating the total.

Hya newguy!
Been away for a li'l while......flu...yuck.
Reference to "lack of decent stuff", is "Playstation2, 14k gold, cookbooks, Precious Moments, BeanieBabies, Lisner Vintage, and J Brady Painting" considered to be decent?????? If not.........what exactly do you consider "decent" merchandise?? I'm sure a lot of sellers from all the auction sites would like to know your definition of "decent".

Why is it everytime Wendy starts a thread about lowestbids, she gets hacked? She is just as entitled to her opinion as are we. I personally couldn't figure out the bidbar thing or I would be over there....It has to be better than bidbay!
MEOW pft pft!!

For those who may be interested:
The BidBar: Not as hard to use as you may think............when you open the bidbar(a banner), you can go anywhere on LB. The double arrows(top right on bar) open the "Auction Menu". There you can click on "My Organizer" and list an item, rate a buyer or seller, check your mail, go to message boards, check your auctions, much more, and go to the Appendix: Here you can also access all of LB, including the Home page(if ya wanna ck visitors for the day---currently over 2mil a day!) And that is pretty much how the bar works, as far as you using it. It has features that automatically alert you to bids, sold auctions, etc....but you don't have to DO anything to get that....it's built in. So....this BidBar isn't as intimidating as it looks. Pretty easy to click on a button....and go where ya wanna go. You can also minimize it, if you don't wanna look at it while you're surfing the web, and it will still be monitoring your auctions. I have cable......so I leave it up all the time....even if I'm not surfin the net....and I can hear it from anywhere inside,(if I crank up the volume!lol), I'm actually LIVE at my auctions while I'm doing other stuff! How cool is that? If you do experience problems...I've found the tech folks at LIVE INSTANT HELP to quite friendly and helpful.
If you have a 466 computer or better, you should have no problems with the bidbar.
And I have not been attacked by any "virus".....and this isn't spyware.....it is new technology that we'll probably be seeing in a lot of areas....not just auctions. I personally think it's a terrific advancement for auctions....to be able to have a "REAL LIVE" auction.
Most important to Nanabees: are we selling items.........yes!!! I like alot of the other sites too, but have not been able to "sell" like I did at Yahoo, until now. So...I have reason to be happy. And I love people....if this can help one other person understand their bidbar......It will be worth the effort and the probable attacks I will get from some who can't seem to let others voice an honest opinion. But maybe they have had a change of heart. I sure hope so.....we all should be able to JUST GET ALONG.....We are adults and share a mutual interest....auctions.
