Can't comment on ebays image hosting, but
bidbay.com has image hosting that they actually pay you so much per 100 views.
Now immediately I know that certain users with issues are going to protest and say they never got paid. Well I can't comment on that either, but I got paid and I know others who have been paid.
You won't get rich off of the images hosted but enough to pay for a Nice Dinner out.
You can also check several free web page sites, freeyellow comes to mind and tripod.com. They let you upload images which you could probably link to your auction pages.

Tripod doesn't allow it anymore. They stopped it over a year ago. If anyone hosts their pictures there, a link comes up on auction that takes you to Lycos and from there to the picture.
Try photopoint.com, free and easy to use. You can download the system and upload at your leisure.

If you're talking about on-site hosting (like listing your auction and uploading image at the same time) I've heard raves about ePier's service. I use off-site hosting so I can use my pictures wherever, though, so haven't tried it.
I don't think I can post the names of off-site image hosting places here (services similar to what this site provide) so if you're interested in any of those, just e-mail me at [email protected]. Or, you can check out my web site, too. I have a bunch listed there. http://www.wallypogsbog.bizland.com
