Hi dadnmom
Having a super special terrific day here! The sun is shining, I watched a baby being born today and thanked God for this new life and the pleasures she'll bring her parents, brother and sister.
I can imagine how excited you are.....what a wonderful way for the day to begin.
When you get a photo (you have my email)
I would love to see a picture.
I started this thread today, because I said all I had to say yesterday...and there is just way to much negativity on these threads..... Bad for the Karma.....
So the news of New Life is certainly the best, and nicest news for anyones day.
I really mean it when I say, I am happy for you. Mozel Tov ( means Good Luck)

ooops, dadnmom, it wasn't any baby that's in our family She was born at the hospital where I work. No pictures of this little angel; she goes home tomorrow morning. All I know her by is baby girl whatever her last name is.

Spring is coming. On my way to work I pass a few farms, and have seen what I always think is the first sign of spring -newborn calves. I just love watching them romp around the fields, they are so care free. I also have the most beautiful yellow crocus blooming near my front porch and am looking forward to seeing my daffodils bloom.

Hey, I have something nice to day--by my count that makes 5!
llama_lady, I know the feeling when watching the calves. Yesterday as we drove into town I passed again the pasture where a local rancher has his mamas and their babies. Oh, so sweet! A few were running around while others lay snuggled down in the hay.
We slowed way down to take a good look. I've had the wonderful opportunity to see them three times so far, and will slow every time I drive by until they're returned to the range.

llama_lady:
I live by the ocean, and today the waves were so radical. The surfers were out early. Beautiful day here with a perfectly awesome sky. New born calves must be cool to see... We carry a small disposable camera in the car, to catch things like that.
Flowers are a sure sign that Spring is in the air.
wallypog:
Totally awesome web-page you have. Love the graphics, and the entire layout, I'll visit it again, and often.....Great Idea.
I sure hope everyone has a super terrific rest of the afternoon and evening.
(It is so nice to see positive posts..........I promised myself the other day, that is was counter productive to my life, and so un-necessary).

That makes 5 of us that think having a wonderful life is important.
I had another great day and it's still going great!
It's so nice to come to a positive thread and not hear the whining and crying about a site that really shouldn't be the focal point in anyone's life.
Thanks dadnmom for opening this thread to us.
Cows and baby calves in the pasture, horses and their foals, deer and their little fawns all running around the farms today. Spring is in the air! (even if it rained most of the day) The flowers are blooming, the trees have buds and my magnolia has grown 3 feet and has so many buds ready to burst!

This is a great thread! Sorry I didn't post yesterday but I was very cranky and I don't post at all when I feel that way. Thanks to all who posted on this thread for cheering me up and pulling me out of my blue mood to see what a beautiful world we live in if you just open your eyes and look around.

I've always been crazy, but it's kept me from going insane!
Your visit today was uplifting for all of us. It really is the same simple things in life, we all need to be happy. A new baby being born, Lambs, deer being born.......
You don't have to thank me for starting this thread..........I should have done it a very long time ago.
I learned a good lesson to get this thread up and going. I was tired of fighting, being aggravated etc all the time, and for what really? All issues will have 17 different views.............So I said STOP! Too much negativity turns a person into a real time bomb physically, emotionally, and mentally.......these are cyper people we were all fighting with............Maybe handling the real problems at home or real life work, will be the answer. Or An answer. I don't want to grow into a nasty by nature person.......I want to smile every day, laugh with my friends, enjoy being outside when I can. Not be-little people anymore. I call it 'Minding My Karma'
The world outside has enormous powers to touch us, make us smile, even make us want to share something nice with others.
Life is wonderful if we just let it be.
I love magnolia trees.....I love watching all the bulbs coming alive and breaking ground. I lived in the south for awhile, and did see some farm animal babies.....they were really cute. I like horseback riding.....now that is fun.
citygirl1
Glad you dropped by. I also lived in a city for awhile (New York City)....get's very hectic there....to say the least.
I am trying each day to find one thing......just one (any others area are a plus) that make me a better person in some way. I was in the store today, and this sweet little older lady was having a heck of at time finding a product she had a coupon for....well, I started looking , and after about 10 minutes we located it. I felt good about helping her out. I looked through a big box of sea shells we have.....in are ever ongoing collection.....some of them are really cool, and the shapes erratic. Some will be fun to make necklaces or toe rings.
OK....See who will be around soon I hope......
Love to you all..........please do drop by anytime.....leave a thought if you wish....or if you need one why not take it with you. it is so wonderful that we are all apart of the positive parade of life, calm, and beauty.

MEOW pft pft!!
>^,,^^,,^<
Today is a great day! It's 6:30 a.m. and the birds are already singing, even though it's still dark out.
We're alive and well and that's what matters most in this world.
You're right, seeing the baby animals frolicking and the flowers blooming mean so much more than material things. Anyone can spend money, but the free things are the best things in life.
A smile for someone else (you always get one in return), offering a shoulder to lean on, sitting with friends over coffee, helping a total stranger, saying something kind to someone - all these things cost nothing, yet give everyone pleasure.

Thanks for the cheer UP! I will be 40 tomorrow, have just nursed sick kids for 3+ weeks and caught the bug myself. Feeling a little sorry for myself and under the gun! Was reading this thread and realized that I have had 40 years (more than some get) -- I have 7 beautiful children, a great family, good friends and I live in Montana!!!!! I am now smiling, looking forward to another 40 years and have a prom dress to sew for my oldest daughter. Thank you all SO VERY much for sharing your smiles!!!!! http://www.homestead.com/mainelymontanacrafts/index.html

Good California Morning to all.
allycatpft: Out on the boat with her hubby......sounds delightful! Working on your summer tan already.
mtnmama: Good Morning to you.....Yep Good Day here......Glad your day is starting out on a positive note. It is tried, and true that the best things in life are free. You sure can't buy friendships, or love...........the things that matter in life.
forshoppin: Wow! Happy Birthday To You! Happy Birthday To You!
The big one too..........No Worries! It only gets better from here...all up that Montanta hill from now on. Cool website you have, I'll visit it again as the holidays approach. All those great handmade things....very nice indeed.
7 Children...You can breeze up that hill. Bless your heart. Don't feel bad....sick kids, winter, it can all get a person down. Now that you don't feel so good it can be overwhelming. One mom can take care of 7 kids, but 7 kids can't take care of one mom.
Sewing A prom Dress.......One child leaving soon for college I guess. How cool to have your mom make your dress. How cool to have a mom that knows HOW to make a dress. That is a great talent. My grandma could sew up a storm on her old wrought iron singer. She would sew and hum, and sing. She was a happy lady. I on the other hand can't sew. But I can do other stuff, so it's a good trade off.
The weather is so wonderful today.....the sun is (always) out, and birds are chirping here too...chirping out a little ditty from the big band era I think....and those wonderful seagulls leave their 'calling cards' everywhere.....especially the top of my car.
auctiongallery2: Good morning to you!
Glad your weather is looking good for the days ahead (and today).....Flea marketing is such fun. Out here they call them Swap Meets....I don't know why...no one swaps anything but money. ( And, when I lived back east and went to the flea markets...I never saw even one. (.....that was a joke or a feeble attempt at one. LOL I hope you have a lot of fun this weekend....stop by again and say hello.
Well, we are getting hello's from all over the country here on this thread. Totally awesome! It would be cool if we got someone at least from every state being positive, and laughing, even just a smile.........WOW!
I'll see you all later.....Leave a smile if you have one, or take one with you if you need one.

I have a pile of cards next to me, broasted chicken cooking, a rabbit in my lap and college basketball on the tube all day. cant ask for more!

Look at all those wonderful "old" friends, such as AG2 and ballsandstrikes!
I'm so glad you're all finding this uplifting. I look forward to the comments every evening.
forshoppin - with 7 children, God bless them all, you must really go shopping! They'll be fine and I'm sure you must be very proud of them. Turning 40 is no biggie. Wait til you turn the big 50! I passed that a few years ago, am reaching the mid-mark of 55
in the fall. Just think, if we don't get older, what's the alternative? Stay cool and calm. Your kids will keep you young!
We're all set for a sunny, 70's weekend too.
Saw some yard sale signs out today, which looks promising. Think I'll hit the sales tomorrow and on Sunday, will drag hubby out early to the flea market (maybe they'll have better prices than last year).
Have a wonderful night everyone! Thanks for posting your positive thoughts.
I think it's GREAT.....New people with NICE things to share.....I'm Loving It......
I wish I were there to see those little baby animals that folks are seeing.
Have good luck at the garage sales this weekend....We are up for a nice weekend also...Yeah! I wish it would rain a bit more, Because I love to listen to it....maybe rain all night and the 70's all day....LOL....I can wish, but to much rain is not good for the mountain slides we get.
I think we have about 10 different people now posting good stuff......Oh, I hope we can keep this up, and more people come by to grab a smile, and leave one.

mtnmama,
in keeping with the "niceness" of this thread let me put it like this as the snow is falling here in Michigan.
I don't know where you live but if you bring up the 70 degree thing again, I will FIND YOU and you will have a houseguest until it warms up here! lol actually the flea market and yard sales sound like fun!

I find sometimes it's just too easy to get overwhelmed by it all and that a person just needs to take some time and chill.
Life is definately too short for all the hurries and worries we get ourselves into. I decided a few years ago, after telling myself, "Oh, everything'll slow down once we get this done," (and of course it never happened) that I was just going to MAKE it slow down--and I did.
Of course, I have a good lazy streak about a mile or so wide, so that really helps, LOL, but our life became much better after that.
I noticed the other day the poplar trees are starting to bud--so is the currant bush outside my window. My goodness how that thing has grown! I dug it up from my dad's yard--just a little bitty seedling--and brought it home and stuck it beside the house. I think that wasn't such a good place for it now.
Ah, Ballsandstrikes--the snow will soon be gone I'm sure. We had quite a bit of it this last winter and were sure glad to see it go. Just hang in there. One thing that always keeps me going through the winter is spending Christmas in someplace like Arizona or Australia. Somehow I just can't imagine singing "Jingle Bells" in those places, LOL, and suddenly it's all right again. http://www.wallypogsbog.bizland.com
