I can't believe how many sellers are pulling out tonight. A major upset. And the staff are pulling all related messages off their message board. If I didn't see it with me own lurking eyes I wouldn't believe they would pull such a stupid stunt.
Another dotcom I guess.

I rarely posted there, as I rarely post here. I did have a few things I wanted to say on Bidbay tonight and I have now been suspended from posting on Chat! I can't believe it, as I said nothing but the truth. However, George ("CEO" is obviously on line and very active tonight. I would assume that he didn't like my comments.
I don't like being censored! I e-mailed what I wanted to post on chat, but I'm sure he's not interested. He doesn't need this bidder, I guess. Although I was informed that I could bid and buy on Bidbay (just not post to Chat), I will respectfully decline the offer.
What a mess!

Instead of starting so many projects at once, they should complete some for a change! These are the die hard pioneers leaving. You know yesterday I watched "The Jim Jones Story" on television. The resemblance was frightening!!!
I don't blame people for being upset that after making plans for so long to do the TOUR they are now jumping around and skipping towns and what sounds like major cities also. Not too smart

rename it the TITANIC since folks are jumping ship. Most of the oldies have been either suspended or have taken their auctions off. NO response from The Powers That Be.

I wish I understood why BB makes me so angry. I don't buy or sell there, I'm not even registered. The whole place just sickens me. From what I can see, Giving@Home was the only good thing about the whole place, and now they're gone.

O.K., I admit it. I'm curious. Is this just fall out from a chatboard fight (about moderation and zapped posts) or is it something more of interest to sellers who don't use or care about the chatboard?

When new people are strongarmed in bidbay the members say they were trouble makes and should go. But when some of the old members get the same treatment its a cat fight. They say Bidbay will change for the better when cows fly, it will always be my way or the highway. There numbers on the front page is coming down put they still count the dutch auctions wrong so they will never change just try to make it look like they will. Their car is on the road, this cat fight will look good to anyone that looks in on bidbay for the first time. I still hope for the day Bidbay becomes a auction site maby my great grandchildren will see it.

on the one hand, one would think during this big campaign they would try and seek damage control on the chat boards. On the other hand, as fast as they are going though the US, one has to wonder just HOW many people will really know what it is all about when they see that car!!!

I don't know what's going on but that's nothing new.
I went looking for other sites when YAHOO dived but stayed away from BidBay.
There just seemed to be too much controversy.
I have listed at Bidville and although I'm not making any money at least everybody and everything said and done is pleasant.
Look at the old posts. About the only thing anyone said negative about a whole bunch of sites was there were no sales. Except for BidBay. They seem to always have a fight going.
I have all the unpleasant management I need when listing at eBay. I don't want another eBay like site.

Well AW cancelled my thread which was an open letter to BidBay. My message, as well as my account was cancelled when I told the moderator where to go, and what to do with her horse after she had the audacity to threaten users for posting links to messages.
No big deal. I just finished cancelling all my auctions there and transferred them to ePier. I am truly sick and disgusted with BidBay.
AG2 - are you STILL not disgusted with the latest antics?

Oh... The moderator mentioned in my above post was one of the Admins at BIDBAY. Not here. It was THERE that users were threatened for posting links to messages.
The cancellation here was for:
" Posts quoting entire messages from other
chatboards are not permitted within the Message Center nor is posting
private information including IDs allowed."
Expected.

kelagedart,
Thanks for clarifying to the membership which Moderator you were referring. Rest assured, most of the Users at AW know that had you told one of the Moderators here "where to go, and what to do with her horse" that you wouldn't be here anymore either .

Same as here, Kelagedart.
I 'joined' in January, and had nearly 200 auctions running there at one time. Only a few items sold. I was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I started getting annoyed by the circus atmosphere there. WIth their Gestapo like antics, it became just too much and when the moderator threatened to cancel accounts simply for posting links to messages about some minor incident I simply became infuriated. I transferred all my auctions to ePier, and told them off in no uncertain terms. Pity it only lasted a few seconds there...
Needless to say my account was (happily) cancelled. I no longer wish to have anything to do with those yoyo's.
