I have been posting to several smaller auction sites since Yahoo and eBay started to raise their fees. I have tried several smaller auction sites such as ePier.com, BidVille.com, Tbay.com, Haggle.com, and Auctionweiser.com.
All of these sites basically do the same thing for me, and I've recently received a lot of bids from Auctionweiser and Haggle. What do you think about Auctionweiser, Haggle and the above-mentioned sites?

Bill,
I have not heard of auctionweiser, but I am going to go check it out. I do not like the concept of bagain and haggle

I checked it out. I guess the big question for me is why? Why pay a fee when there are several sites with free auctions? This site does not have very many listings either. And I got a pop-up banner from hell, Bonzai? Any way I had to click several times to get rid of it.

The only fee that I had received was for a small commission. I was not charged a listing fee of any sort. As for the pop-up, I assume that the banners and the pop-up is a way for the site to make advertising revenue. Most of the free auction sites that I have experienced have either changed their way of business, gone out of business, or added advertising. All I can say is that when I had questions about some of their services, I e-mailed them and I received a human response within a few hours. I thought that was fantastic. Most of us have to realize that in this day and age, the dawn of "free" auction sites and services is dwindling, and will probably end very soon. Companies have to make a revenue or profit from somewhere. If there is no advertising, commission fees, etc. How is a company supposed to survive?
This is my own opinion, but I think that a site that is dependable, low cost, friendly, and helpful, is well worth some advertising. I had e-mailed ePier.com last Sunday, and I still have not received a response.
Form your own opinion about Auctionweiser, but I find them useful and the extra services that I receive are wonderful... It’s not like BidBay.com either. I have never seen any company workers or officials make ridiculous comments like BidBay does. That site is like run like a circus act. Anyways, check it out, and I am sure within time, the site will grow.

Bill,
I agree with you on BidBay! It does seem like a circus! I didn't really form an opinion on auction weiser, just thought maybe it wasn't big enough yet for me. Good Luck in your sales!
