AG2,
First of all its good to hear your grandfather is OK after having multiple strokes. I do not believe in miracles, but should the term ever be redefined, this certainly may qualify
I wish you the best for your health. As well as mtnmama's. I wish it were possible for you two, as well as some of the other regulars to come to an understanding.
First of all it should be clear to all that you have not become the official BidBay apologist, or choir boy since your return. You have said some positive things, in a somewhat restrained manner about them. You were impressed by their sincerity, and made privy to some basic company secrets that would normally engender a feeling of trust.
I would hazard to guess that you are a midwesterner raised on good ole fashioned heartland values that says never stab a benefactor in the back. Especially if they appear sincere, and have made themselves vulnerable before you. Even fighting dogs will never bite an outstretched neck. Basic instinct.
However, many of us from more urban stock have learned the 'eat-or-be-eaten' ethos which basically teaches one to slice any outstretched neck and call it oppurtunity.
And the 'get-over-at-any-cost' mindset can be so strong as to make one actually believe the things one says. Politicians are prime examples. Especially Ronald Reagan. Madder than a hatter, but totally sincere.
This I feel is the situation at Bidbay. A bunch of misguided oppurtunists with manic delusions but lacking the business acumen to bring them to fruition. Thanks to you I do not doubt their sincerity. Just their grasp on reality as they spiral into the abyss and in desperation do ever more outrageous things like threaten users over increasingly trivial matters. And send a PT Cruiser on a surrealist journey into the Twilight Zone.
You may disagree on some of these issues, and I would truly appreciate your arguments.
I see BidBay as a fascinating example of a case study of a dotcom self destructing, whose chronicles may be as important some day in economic history as the fruit fly was to geneticists. Sometimes there is nothing more enlighteneing than a truly bad example.
To the rest,
I hope you all wish AG2 welcome back and put aside the pettiness and the jibes. There are alot of fime minds here and I would really like to see them put to a good use - like maybe picking and supporting a first class alternative auction so that we can all continue out first priority of selling widgets to make a profit.

VERY well put snakebait! I couldn't agree with you more EXCEPT for this statement:
"Even fighting dogs will never bite an outstretched neck. Basic instinct. "
Having been in the midst of my two dogs, before they got neutored, when they got into a fight, they will bite anything that gets in the way!
