Ok, everyone has to have one item they sold that haunts them at night~LOL! One you wish you had back...
Mine is an antique cherubim architectural fragment. Everyday I look at a spot in my rose garden where it would look perfect. Maybe I need to look up the buyer's email and see if she'd be willing to sell it back to me~~LOL!
Ok fess up...What item do you want back!! [ edited by hgtvjunkie on Apr 25, 2001 09:05 PM ]

Hello!

In earlier days, while selling offline...I sold a figurine of a boy dressed in all blue...knickers...hat. Sold it for $5...and...yes, it was a Blue Boy. Saw it on the Roadshow few years later...value was in the upper hundreds....ARGH!!!

Would love to have it back now!

OUCH! I try to forget those one's Nanabees! When I first moved to DH's place he "cleaned" out a barn. If I think about all the "stuff" he tossed I would have nightmares for sure~LOL! Even gave away complete vintage gas pumps, old milk cans, watering cans, lunchboxes, you name it. I just about died but had to forgive him cause he's so darn cute!

One that I didn't sell but...

My grandmother was moving into a retirement home and knew that my wife collected bottles. She gave of 3 gigantic boxes of Avon bottles that she had acquired and collected over the years. She told me that I could keep the ones I wanted and "do whatever" with the remaining.

We threw them all away and I am sure we could have done pretty well selling them (there were a lot of really cool bottles). Oh well, eBay wasn't around then.

I have been thinking about this and I don't believe I have one. However in 1974 my parents sold their Texas farm where they had lived for over 40 years. I could not go because of a difficult pregnancy but ALLLLLLL the things my mom gave away would be worth a fortune now!! When I go into antique shops I see her kitchen all over again!!! Little did we know!!!

All this thinking back has brought something to mind....a little off topic, but I'm gonna put it here anyway!

I want to find a little "locket doll"...I had one as a child....loved it. The locket was all plastic, but to this child, it was priceless! Shaped like a jewel...sparkly gold with accents of red. And inside, a tiny li'l doll, similar to a barbie, but so tiny. It was on a silky cord that let me wear it around my neck. I wore that locket all the time. No idea whatever happened to it. Would love to find one to buy.

If anyone has one or knows where I can get one...let me know. [email protected]

Thanks for letting me ramble on!
