I sell primarily on ebay and was wondering what other auction sites I can use to list my merchandise. I sell CD's and Books mainly.

There are just tons and tons of sites out there! Not many bids anywhere right now, though--at least not for me.

I currently have auctions on ePier, BidVille, Bay9, 321gone and eBay.

I really do not have a favorite, but I like the following auction sites for different reasons.

Haggle.com - Good for computer related items. Good sellers and bidders.

Lycos Auctions - good for computer related
items and electronics.

Auctionweiser.com - Good for collectibles, computer related items, books, movies, and hard to find items. As well as their free services.

TBay - Good for music, movies, etc. Free Site to sellers.

eDeal - collectibes and entertainment mostly. Has a good marketplace as well.

Regards,

AB

I have done some buying at Bidville but do not sell there as there are not enough bidders yet. For me there is just no one better than ebay!!!

Allykat,
Wow, I am glad you have bought on Bidville, I am hoping it will evenually hold as much promise as Yahoo once did!

I can not get thru on Hotmail right now. I will write when I can.

If your books are interesting or quirky then I'd list them at popula.

There is a surprising number of bids for the listings they have.

But generic crap doesnt sell there.

If its odd and hard to find then you'd get bids.

If its a John Grisham novel or whoever sells books by the millions than any mainstream site will do.

If it is a coffee table quality book on the higher price end then half.com

BUT

Before you list anything at half.com do a search on each book or CD and make sure there aren't 50+ copies already with 30 of them selling for $.75 for popular books.

For popular books half.com is the biggest waste of time on the net for sellers (unless you are a buyer of course)

I've had very limited success selling books on ewanted and have posted a bunch of slow movers there under their new program. No nibbles yet...

Otherwise I post on half.com for my slower inventory.

I sold an OOP book on half.com as soon as it was listed. Apparently the guy had it on his wanted list Made me happy because he spent more than I was going to list it for and he left me positive feedback!

The rest of the books are still sitting there though. They had/have limited categories. I had to list a HC under SC because they had no HC editions categorized.

There is one very nice bookseller on ebay who told me ebay was the only way to sell any kind of book.

Some time ago, I sold some books on ebay. You just never know! One went for more than they could have got it for new! But sometimes they don't sell at all. I have so much I need to list......
