Hey all!

Just gotta share this with you...hard to believe...but it is true.

My customer has to be the nicest buyer ever. Remember Murphys Law? Anything that can go wrong, will....? (customer) bid and won an auction on: MAR 24TH

1. Mailer Daemon ate my 1st email to (customer), but we finally get that squared away, and he agrees to PayPal the payment.

2. (customer) sends me an email today...MAY 1ST...where is my item? Mind you...it has been about 1-1/2 months...THIS IS ONE PATIENT PERSON!!

3. I send an email to (customer)...where is my payment?

4. (customer) kindly sends ANOTHER email...containing his receipt from PayPal.

5. (customer)'s package is going out first thing in the morning...although, at the rate we are going, I probably should hand-deliver it! LOL
=========================

PayPal never credited my account...and we both thought the other was being a tad bit slow. But, as long as I have been selling, I have NEVER had this many things go wrong on a sale. I, of course, sent an apology email and begged forgiveness. And (customer) sends a reply: He understands and is not upset. Talk about patience!! He has such a wonderful disposition. I sure hope I get another opportunity to deal with him.

Now...I am soooo angry with PayPal...I sent them an email and a copy to (customer). I just hope PayPal will admit the error....and maybe send an apology to (customer). I sure hope there are not other payments that I have not received........what a thought......I do have others who were supposed to PayPal.......guess I should send some emails out. Maybe you should too???

Please learn from my mistakes...stay in touch with your customers!! Do not wait as long as I did....the next customer, may not have this magnificent personality.

And one more thing..........

Murphys Law is alive and well!!

nanabees~~

If that were my customer, I would put in a little added bonus as a thank you for their patience and understanding!

Don't know what the item was, but, maybe something to complement it, or even maybe a discount coupon for reduced or free shipping on next bid.

Oh, buyers like that are just so sweet!

I had an interesting happening with PayPal the other day--really aggravating.

I sold an auction, sent EOA to the buyer. The buyer then wrote back stating they'd paid through PayPal. I checked my e-mail--no 'You've got cash!' notice from PayPal!

I thought, 'what on earth is going on here?' I went to PayPal and checked my account. Sure enough, the payment had been credited, but I sure didn't get any notice of it from PayPal.

Here's a new thought though, they could have fabricated that receipt...
Not too hard to do really, maybe that's why your account wasn't credited...

I'd hang on to it until paypal confirms the money!

I've been receiving warnings from PayPal for
months now (attached to every e-mail that
they send me) saying that people ARE forging
"receipts" from them to make it look like
they have sent money when in fact they did
NOT send anything. Until you verify things
with PayPal, if you send the package out you
might be sending the item for free!

I wish you luck!

Regards,

Z

If the last two posts are referring to my post (so hard to tell around here, LOL)

No, no, no! There was no receipt. PayPal did not send a receipt, but the money had been transferred to my account.

I know about the scam where bidder sends an e-mail saying 'you've got cash' when indeed no payment was sent. That's exactly the opposite of what happened here.

Anyway, it doesn't matter, was just weird.

PayPal has fixed it! Thank goodness. And buyer seems happy. I know I am happy that it is now resolved.

I believe that PayPal is trying really hard. Don't care for the fees...but they really came thru on this one!

Thank you all for the input....great info for all of us to remember!
