Interesting item.

I went to check the "Sales History" page at ePier, looked at the specific negative comments that had been left for non-paying bidders (NPBs) and found that clicking on their links returned a "not found" message.

Perhaps ePier has adopted a policy of NARU the accounts of NPBs.

We can only hope.

fixed UBB.

Yeah Dimview, I noticed that as well. The first name I clicked on was gone, had just one feedback and it was negitive.

Now..... I am NOT a fan or defender of non paying bidders, but I do have some basic concerns about NARUing someone after ONE bad feedback...

Any thoughts on that?

They are apparently being removed for negative feedback as a non-paying bidder, but I didn't notice any for other reasons.

So if one takes the position that a successful bid translates to a legally binding contract, ePier is eliminating those that have failed to perform on that contract.

In the real world, though, one negative does seem a bit severe.

When I first checked out this site months ago I read the Announcement Board first. This one is from Feb. 9: (it's still there)

"ePier has a strict no nonsense policy. Simply put: If you sell or place bids through ePier, you are committed to following through with your business. If you do not, you will be suspended."

I liked it but wondered if they would really enforce it based on 1 complaint.

I wonder if there was a glitch when you looked Dimview or if you just clicked different users than I did. I didn't get any not found results, in fact some of the users I clicked even had open ads.

I thought maybe getting booted had to do with their total FB but I saw 2 diff users with 14 non-payer complaints each over the past 5 weeks. One had 14 neg, the other 2 neutral and 12 neg, neither had any positives.

Looks like it was a glitch because they are all the deadbeats are back, live, again.

Kinda glad to hear that the deadbeats are back.

After all, consider how slow moving and boring AW would be if we all didnt have deadbeats to talk about!

question for all...granted being removed for ONE negative is ridiculous...but at what point do we remove them??

TWO??

FOUR??

FOURTEEN??

when is it PC to remove a deadbeat??

and what of the ones with legitmate problems that want to redeem themselves after being removed?? do we allow them a second chance??

should we adopt the policy of the courts with repeat offenders?? THREE strikes and you're out??

i'm curious as to what everyone thinks about this
