My Bidville auctions are listed with 13 relists, that's three months of continuous relistings.
Given the very low sell-through rate (0.1%-0.2%) one or two relists certainly is not enough to make a sale, but the maximum of 99 relists reflects more of a misconfiguration of the auction software than anything else.
So how many relists do you use, and why?
typo.

I've been using two auto relists, then let the auction sit for a little while, then re-list again. I figure this way current folks won't have to see the listing over and over again, and maybe by the time I re-list a third or fourth time someone else will come along who wants the item.

I only auto re-list an item 2 times. If it hasn't sold at the end of the third week, them it is back to my webiste. But most things sell by 2nd or 3rd week.

I use 99 in hopes 1 of these days something, just something might sell! Doesn't cost me anything so who cares? However, I've been disappointed with Bidville's nonexistent sell-through. Easy to use site but not visually appealing either IMO.

I havn't used the automatic relist - I prefer to use the manual "one at a time" relist myself. I didn't have hundreds of items so I could do that.
This method served me well as I could copy and paste the listings to other sites at will.
I have nothing listed on Bidville now, but have not ruled it out as a viable site.

I use 5, force of habit I guess. (That's what I used on Yahoo.) Then I let it sit for a while and then run it again. I like to help keep things fresh, but most things eventually will sell. (now if I could just get some page views there)

I've been happy with my sales on Bidville for the past month. I've complete about 25-30 auctions in the past 3-4 weeks.
I usually relist my auction 5-10 times. Most of my "good" auctions never have to be relisted once. Some of the common stuff I have, take several relists to even get a look. I've noticed a lot of new buyers on Bidville. About 65% of my buyers are brand new. That's a positive sign.
The main reason why people can't sell their stuff is because nobody wants it OR they price it way too high. You might complain tha Bidville is slow, but place "expensive junk" on eBay and nobody will buy it either.
I've taken a look at all the "free" sites. Bidville is by far the best. I'm not too sure what the sell rate is, but if you place decent stuff at decent prices people will buy. It also helps if you "feature" items or place them in the gallery. Items that I feature usually get looked at 25x more than items I don't feature.

I started with 53 items listed on Bidville I went for three auto relists.
First time out I sold one Item let the items go idol for 40 day and auto relisted 52 remaining for three relsts that sold one more Item.
this time up I have 51 Items up two relists already completed with little to no veiws one 10 day relist left I have had 3 Questions to the seller but no active bidding at this time.
No real veiws or profits mean no will or interest in listing more or many new Items there at this time.

Most of my items I have many of, so I can auto relist 99 times. I used to like the 1 day auctions, but that is gone now if you want auto relists. Seems to work well, it will be a while (1 1/2 years) before some of that stuff comes off. Just sold 7 lots in the past hour there.
