I've started putting more items on BV, not because I've had any luck so far but because I finally lost every ounce of patience with Yahoo.

I know some folks put notes in their email to buyers saying they now list on Bidville. Would anyone be willing to share your blurb? I get a lot of sellers at ebay and would like to start adding a "P.S." to them advertising my stuff on BV, or just the site generally.

Just put it in your signature line on your e-mail.

Just say something like "to see more of my auctions, please visit me at www.bidville.com and use a link directly to your auction page.

What do you mean that you get a lot of sellers at ebay and you want to advertise to them? Do you want to sell or buy?

sorry, I meant buyers! I was wondering if anyone had pithy but persuasive language for convincing someone to check out Bidville. I have listed several items with free shipping, but don't really want to say that because I haven't tried that with everything.

I'm not sure whether it works or not, but I've added a line something along the lines of this:

Please check out my auctions at xxxxxx.com! Since there are no listing fees we can pass the savings on to our buyers!

And then list everything there with a lower opening bid price.
