Anyone have any good finds from the Labor Day garage/yard sale weekend?
I saw more yardsales than a person could get to in a day. The local paper was loaded with sales. Finding a 'good' sale is the key I think. Over half the yardsales I visit I usually cruise through. You can tell after looking at 2 or 3 items whether the sale is worth really scrounging through.
The gold mines are my favorite. Tables and tables of dime and quarter items, and the sellers are more than happy to get rid of the junk. I picked up some great junk at one sale, even got a WWI U.S. Army trench coat for 75 cents. No clue what that's worth.
