As if I wasn't upset enough already!
I just logged into my PayPal account to check that a payment had arrived, and discovered that PayPal is already deducting fees! The site clearly stated that fees would not start until 10/1!
Below is the copied-and-pasted payment information from my PayPal account (name withheld of course).
09/13/00 (name withheld) Payment Received Completed 20.29 -0.39 19.90
(The $20.29 is the total payment, the $.39 is the fee, and the $19.90 is the actual payment)
THIS, after you somehow auto-upgraded my account to Premier even though all I did was hit the button to find out more about what a Premier account involved! No questions asked; just BLAM! Upgraded!
PayPal, I want my $.39 back, and you'd better not charge me any more fees at least until 10/1 like you said.

Hey, if they can unexpectedly spring a change on us & then have the gall to *backdate* it to cover their butts, then is should hardly be surprising that they find nothing wrong with initiating charges weeks before they said they were going to.

The percentage fee for users who sign up for business/premier accounts has been in place for some time (ever since they created the accounts). What is being added on 10/1 is the 25 cent additional per transaction fee on top of the percentage.

My mistake on the $.25 ... it does say (in little letters at the bottom!) that the $.25 fee applies after 10/1. PayPal seems to like putting things in itty bitty letters.
